whatd u buy?
10pcs male BNC to female RCA
I got an old PVM, I'm gonna modify a SCART plug with RCA cables, and wire it up (RGBs)
(a PVM is a type of CRT)
is SCART a french specialty?
Europe and the UK m8
and Japan in some areas, but they wire theirs a little differently
if you live in a country where SCART was a common standard, it makes getting true RGB signals from old consoles A-LOT easier
true RGB signals = very clean sharp picture with no blur
Okay
Not really chink but I want some advice
Is 5.1 yay or nay
For TV/Movies/Games
((Sound System, not 5.1 headeset)
Since Im considering it, over a chinese soundbar from Ali
yes
yay
yay
even a creative or logitech 5.1 system will do good job dear
soundbars are only good for easy cable management, """aesthetics""", and ease of setup, just plop above/below monitor/tv with no need for speaker positioning or anything
as actual soundsystems they usually lack
fuck you aliexpress and your botchecks
i wish they learned how to make their website properly
Tbh that surrounder looks like it would be a neat gimmick item if it was made today
hook it up to a VR set
or use it in a gaymin setup
I imagine emulated (or real to some extent) surround in headphones would be better.
Headphones are potentially the best option, because binaural
Is that what they call it?
But only if it's recorded binaurally.
In any case, I'm no fan of headphones in general (my head is a pussy, and most headphones hurt my noggin like a mother after a while), and I still can't deny that they would be better for VR.
I usually hate em. Gotta find a big one that goes around the ears. And is wireless.
Or, if one has the room for it, just plain old surround speakers.
Really narrows things down.
I have those memed chink studio monitor things.
Can't recall their name off the top of my head.
Not the Superlux ones, though I don't believe they were advertised as studio monitors.
I've got Logitech 933s, but I wouldn't recommend them.
Oneodio was the branding I got, I think.
Those nerds.
