2018-10-11 10:08:36 UTC

when are the big sales again, 11.11?

2018-10-11 10:24:57 UTC

I've been using a Redmi Note 3 for 2 years and see no reason to upgrade. It still dos everything I need it to do, doesn't stutter and is on 9.0 with the September security patch

2018-10-11 10:39:02 UTC

My redmi note 3 has some audio issues. In phone calls the other person hears my voice but it's very quiet. I think it has something to do with the os, but I haven't bothered to look into it because I never call anyone and I receive a phone call about once a month max

2018-10-11 10:40:10 UTC

I've read it is not that uncommon issue but I'm too lazy to fix because it basically doesn't affect me

2018-10-11 11:13:17 UTC

I still use my redmi note 3 as a remote control at home

2018-10-11 11:13:38 UTC

For the chrome cast, Bluetooth speakers, alarm system, robot vacuum, rice cooker etc etc

2018-10-11 11:14:27 UTC

New redmi sucks because it got notched

2018-10-11 11:14:32 UTC

It's a shame

2018-10-11 11:16:15 UTC

I dropped my redmi note 3 so much

2018-10-11 11:16:37 UTC

the case is cracked, the glass is cracked a little

2018-10-11 11:17:14 UTC

nowadays phones with 64gb roms and 4 gb ram is a godsend

2018-10-11 11:17:24 UTC

I had my redmi note 3 struggle to run apps due to low ram

2018-10-11 11:23:08 UTC

You got the 2gb version?

2018-10-11 11:23:18 UTC

My 3gb version runs everything without struggle

2018-10-11 11:27:36 UTC

same here with the 3gb, no issues running anything

2018-10-11 11:32:28 UTC

My actual phone, the mi mix 2, with 8 GB is a beast though

2018-10-11 11:32:54 UTC

I run multiple apps with split screen all the time

2018-10-11 11:33:11 UTC

Sometimes even YouTube overlays with popup player

2018-10-11 11:34:09 UTC

The huge screen also makes it super pleasant

2018-10-11 12:49:03 UTC

just got this $2 wireless charger. works just fine, delivers about 700ma which is plenty enough to keep my phone topped up throughout the day. gets pulled around by the cable on its own, but with the weight of the phone it has good non-slip on the top and bottom

2018-10-11 13:23:18 UTC

0.7a would take a very long time to charge <:thvnk:332928260004642827>

2018-10-11 13:24:05 UTC

sure, i'm just using it to top it up a bit when i'm at my desk

2018-10-11 13:24:10 UTC

didn't expect anything more from it

2018-10-11 13:25:09 UTC

So 1.4a = 0.7a if this pad has 50% ef

2018-10-11 13:26:03 UTC

u wot

2018-10-11 13:26:17 UTC

why do you need to keep your phone topped out

2018-10-11 13:26:44 UTC

Most the cheap wireless chargers I have seen only offer to turn half of their input power into usable wireless power
Mine does 2 amp to 1 amp wireless @Adam W

2018-10-11 13:27:00 UTC

oh yeah, that'll be about right, rated input at the bottom is 1.5a

2018-10-11 13:27:18 UTC

and why wouldn't i want to keep my phone topped up?

2018-10-11 13:27:25 UTC

if your phone isnt an absolute shitter you should be able to just charge at night right?

2018-10-11 13:27:35 UTC

theres just no real reason to

2018-10-11 13:27:41 UTC

Or just charge it when it's not in use

2018-10-11 13:27:43 UTC

yeah there is, less charge cycles = less wear

2018-10-11 13:28:24 UTC

I thought draining was better? idk thats how it is for laptops anyhow

2018-10-11 13:28:37 UTC

thats very old fashioned knowledge

2018-10-11 13:28:40 UTC

not true for laptops either

2018-10-11 13:28:53 UTC

older battery chemistries had a "memory" like that so it was good to keep cycling them

2018-10-11 13:28:56 UTC

but not modern battery tech
