So far Samsung is the only one known to cap their battery's to 80% so the capacity stays 95% after 1 or 2 years worth of cycles

2018-10-11 13:33:09 UTC

its a pretty smart thing to do tbh

2018-10-11 13:33:13 UTC

Some users on XDA managed to remove the 80% battery limit but required modified software

2018-10-11 13:33:27 UTC

my sony walkman has an option to cap it at 90

2018-10-11 13:33:34 UTC

nice

2018-10-11 13:33:37 UTC

might be the same for sony phones

2018-10-11 13:33:44 UTC

it would be nice as a configurable option in any phone

2018-10-11 13:33:54 UTC

Hell even the Nissan leaf has that option

2018-10-11 13:34:00 UTC

what's the sweet spot for battery level

2018-10-11 13:34:03 UTC

just don't wanna bother with rooting this thing just yet but i'll get around to it

2018-10-11 13:34:04 UTC

20-80 right?

2018-10-11 13:34:21 UTC

A (your smartphone automatically does this for you) out of 100

2018-10-11 13:34:24 UTC

20% isn't exactly a "sweet spot", but it's a good idea not to let it get much lower than that

2018-10-11 13:34:41 UTC

lmao I always drain whoops

2018-10-11 13:34:41 UTC

charging between 20-80 causes MUCH less wear than charging from 0 - 100 tho

2018-10-11 13:34:51 UTC

shouldnt have stuck to my boomer ideals

2018-10-11 13:34:59 UTC

like not just a little bit, it becomes orders of magnitude at that point

2018-10-11 13:35:01 UTC

I drain beyond 0% <:blobhyperthink:427568506905559040>

2018-10-11 13:35:43 UTC

my battery goes to 0% before it shuts off and it feels like when that bit of music plays on the last round of mario kart

2018-10-11 13:36:51 UTC

Upsm doesn't shut down until the display starves for voltage, usually soud cuts out 10 seconds after that and the phone stops functioning after 30 seconds

2018-10-11 13:36:57 UTC

sometimes I'll charge it when its at 0 and it will shut off while charging

2018-10-11 13:37:47 UTC

I wish phones could be powered via cable like laptops

2018-10-11 13:39:34 UTC

2018-10-11 13:41:11 UTC
