also i believe thing is called "QuickSearchBox"

either by app in uninstall /miui hidden settings menu

or in system/app/ folder

dunno i dont own miui device

but yeah just switch launchers ?

apps >default apps >launcher >something other than default

3rd party launcher fuck up miui icon iirc

just disable system updates on the default so it wont force its way back there
