hello muh homies

2018-11-09 00:33:47 UTC

Fun fact: Texas Instrument's Chinese name is 德州 TI

2018-11-09 00:33:56 UTC

Literally Texas Texas Instruments

2018-11-09 02:18:29 UTC

how is that fun

2018-11-09 02:54:58 UTC

Will I regret going from a flagship like the HTC 10 to a Mi A2 or Mi A2 Lite? I want Android One but GSMArena shows em getting worse benchmarks

2018-11-09 02:59:11 UTC

Or are phone benchmarks unrepresentative shit?

2018-11-09 03:05:54 UTC

Isn't that quite obvious that the HTC gets better benchmark? I mean the HTC 10 is snapdragon 820 and the Mi A2 is snapdragon 660

2018-11-09 03:13:18 UTC

Someone said the 660 was actually newer. I figured they were doing it weird like GPUs, where one number is the series and one is kinda how fast it is among that series. A GTX 660 would beat out a 920 probably.

2018-11-09 03:13:38 UTC

I don't know shit about phones.

2018-11-09 03:14:00 UTC

afaik the 6xx line is designed for mid range phones

2018-11-09 03:14:32 UTC

Yeah, but a 2018 mid-range vs a 2016 flagship

2018-11-09 03:14:42 UTC

although the 600 was for flagship

2018-11-09 03:17:15 UTC

Wait, 600 is flagship too?

2018-11-09 03:17:21 UTC

Fuck everything about phones.

2018-11-09 03:17:24 UTC

note 4 or note 4 edge?

2018-11-09 03:17:50 UTC

600 is mid-range, 700 is budget flagships, and 800 is flagship

They're also making a 1000 series for laptops or something???

2018-11-09 03:17:52 UTC

It was, once

2018-11-09 03:18:07 UTC

after 600 they jumped to 800

2018-11-09 03:18:40 UTC

I had a gook phone with 600 and it was damn good

2018-11-09 03:19:12 UTC

I fucking understand why people buy Apple

2018-11-09 03:19:58 UTC

pls explainm

2018-11-09 03:23:02 UTC

Shit is simple. Want faster phone? Get current phone+1, or phone+1 BIGGER EDITION.

2018-11-09 03:23:16 UTC

Been a while? How about phone+2!

2018-11-09 03:23:48 UTC

I always buy last year's flagship

2018-11-09 03:24:30 UTC

don't forget the updates that gimp your phone

2018-11-09 03:24:37 UTC

and force you to buy newer versions

2018-11-09 03:24:46 UTC

Yeah.

2018-11-09 03:24:56 UTC

My current phone just fucking dies though, so

2018-11-09 03:25:02 UTC

There's that.

2018-11-09 03:26:19 UTC

This is why I always make sure that my phone have decent community support

2018-11-09 03:26:33 UTC

I probably should just not give a shit about benchmarks, I don't really push my phone hard. As long as things are very responsive, I'm happy

2018-11-09 03:27:01 UTC

I make sure they have removable batteries

2018-11-09 03:27:13 UTC

and can have custom mods installed

2018-11-09 03:27:21 UTC

the battery part is becoming a pain in the ass tho

2018-11-09 03:27:25 UTC

>removable batteries in 2018
this is pretty hard
