hello muh homies
Fun fact: Texas Instrument's Chinese name is 德州 TI
Literally Texas Texas Instruments
how is that fun
Will I regret going from a flagship like the HTC 10 to a Mi A2 or Mi A2 Lite? I want Android One but GSMArena shows em getting worse benchmarks
Or are phone benchmarks unrepresentative shit?
Isn't that quite obvious that the HTC gets better benchmark? I mean the HTC 10 is snapdragon 820 and the Mi A2 is snapdragon 660
Someone said the 660 was actually newer. I figured they were doing it weird like GPUs, where one number is the series and one is kinda how fast it is among that series. A GTX 660 would beat out a 920 probably.
I don't know shit about phones.
afaik the 6xx line is designed for mid range phones
Yeah, but a 2018 mid-range vs a 2016 flagship
although the 600 was for flagship
Wait, 600 is flagship too?
Fuck everything about phones.
note 4 or note 4 edge?
600 is mid-range, 700 is budget flagships, and 800 is flagship
They're also making a 1000 series for laptops or something???
It was, once
after 600 they jumped to 800
I had a gook phone with 600 and it was damn good
I fucking understand why people buy Apple
Shit is simple. Want faster phone? Get current phone+1, or phone+1 BIGGER EDITION.
Been a while? How about phone+2!
I always buy last year's flagship
don't forget the updates that gimp your phone
and force you to buy newer versions
Yeah.
My current phone just fucking dies though, so
There's that.
This is why I always make sure that my phone have decent community support
I probably should just not give a shit about benchmarks, I don't really push my phone hard. As long as things are very responsive, I'm happy
I make sure they have removable batteries
and can have custom mods installed
the battery part is becoming a pain in the ass tho
>removable batteries in 2018
this is pretty hard
I recently bought a Mix 2 after giving up sd card, 3.5mm jack and removable battery
I tried to way back. This time, I just want 128GB+ storage somehow, 4GB+ RAM, decent battery life, and vanilla Android.
NFC if I can swing it.
I'd rather have a water proof case installed instead of having a sealed phone
If they don't make it a colossal PITA, I'm down to replace my own battery.
Not happy about it, but I can. Apparently this one is terrible though, so I'm just replacing.
