We'll see about OIS though. IMO, Sony's purposefully gimping their phone cameras to not cannibalize their point-n-shoot lineup
The RX100
I like that they're keeping the compact phones thicc, makes them easy to hold
yeah but a smartphone will never replace a compact camera. even some chink phones have ois.
Well compact cameras are fairly scarce nowadays because people think their phones are good enough for their usecase
my sister got gifted a Mi Band 3 for christmas, she hasn't really touched it
what would you use a Mi Band 3 for
reading notifications, fitness & sleep tracking
looking at the time
none of which seem to be useful if you don't go outside
but okay
Yeah it's not useful if you don't leave the house
unless you're like me and abhor ringtones
Anyone done LED strip+those extruded aluminum diffusers for lighting? Trying to figure out how best to get the aluminum to align well.
Piece of wood behind it
In optimal angle for wanted lighting angle
Kinda regret not just getting a 12' board and flattening it out and glueing the aluminum on.
I was worried about heat, but they're fucking LED strips, they don't generate shit for heat.
I've got those little clips up that the aluminum snaps into.
2x50w led with passive cooling generates barely 80c heat on casted light thrower(material of cast==chinknium)
Worst temps come from the transformer/powerblock
I specced everything out for worst-case and then totally missed all the reasons that would never be an issue.
I mean as long as you dont use +5 meters on single line
Its all okay
It's like 4x 3m lines.
what spacing per meter
What do you mean by spacing?
Leds per meter
!answer 0.025*120*3
9
9A per 3 meter*
Wut
It's 12v, and 18w/meter
That's not 9a
A number was missing
Oh single colors so probly not 25ma per led
!answer 0.02 * 120 *3
7.2
Each of 4 runs is only using around 4.5a, power supply can do around 25a in peak-for-this-area-ever temps with zero cooling, 40a in why-would-you-visit-texas-in-the-summer heat if it's just mounted on a file cabinet to sink heat, each run has a 12AWG cable for power. So it's a bit overspecced.
