Sometimes I wonder if it should be illegal for stores to advertise "sales" when that's literally the base price of the product and has been for over a year. I figure this "encourages" people to buy too much food for themselves, contributing to obesity.
At what point do we talk about lying to the consumer vs the seller having the right to say whatever they want. We already disallow grocery stores from selling certain products, selling products for abnormally low or high prices. How far is really too far when talking about what constitutes consumer protection?
