I brought up the fact that a couple of the labor union local higher ups where I live had in their minds the idea that if the Democratic party doesn't shape up and focus on the working class, they are going to break off from the Democratic coalition. It's a small local in a rather small area, but I've heard that from a few different members of various labor unions. If the Democratic party loses organized labor, it would be a death knell to the party itself
