I don't think democracy is necessarily the best system of government of the people, as evidenced by the number of checks and balances required within it to prevent tyranny, and I'm more of a fan of pure constitutionalism, nomarchism, or constitutional monarchy, systems in which the law is above the people, the state, and collectives and institutions like church, company/corporation. Of course, at this stage in society democracy should be preserved to avoid tyranny which it currently flirts with even now but I would not ultimately advocate for a constitutional democracy as the best form of government.
