I mean, I know that the multiplicity of parties relies on “coalition governments” to form, but this is hard to explain without a large cadre of hardcore CDU voters that will tow the party line right off a cliff.

I wrote him off as another EVROPA marble statue larper, because of the term "reaction".
He's actually on the money in dissecting the mechanics of liberal government's seemingly contradictory or insane strategies.
No one except maybe Dugin (though very little of his "4th Political theory" is positive, being more about boxing in modernity and liberalism to provide space for illiberal ideas) has done as much to expose liberalism and false limitations it imposes on thought.
It's very basic stuff but almost no one else will talk about it. I particularly liked his dissection of "the High allying with the Low against the Middle", "Inner" and "Outer" parties and the nature of "unsecured power" and its consequences. It's free of a lot of the party idealism that clouds the usual left and right wing critics of liberalism.
