Hope it was worth it Britain.

2019-06-07 15:10:16 UTC

I don't get what you mean tbh

2019-06-07 15:10:44 UTC

Britain's empire collapsed as a result of being financially drained from WWII

2019-06-07 15:11:08 UTC

They even tried paying the US for arms in colonies but FDR wasn't interested.

2019-06-07 15:12:32 UTC

Kek, I didn't know that
I still don't get the "they saved Poland" part

2019-06-07 15:13:09 UTC

Well they started the war over Poland.

2019-06-07 15:13:15 UTC

As if they were gonna save it.

2019-06-07 15:13:23 UTC

But it just ended up in the hands of Stalin.

2019-06-07 15:13:26 UTC

>started the war

2019-06-07 15:13:31 UTC

Only on paper

2019-06-07 15:13:33 UTC

They did.

2019-06-07 15:14:12 UTC

Versailles was toilet paper after the first annexation, then there was 3 more and only on the 5th attempt did Britain finally decide that Versailles was worth something, and did their job.

2019-06-07 15:18:14 UTC

It was "enforced" at Britain's convenience. That treaty didnt mean a thing.

2019-06-07 15:22:48 UTC

>after the first annexation
Nah, even earlier, after Reich's remilitarisation I'd say

2019-06-07 15:23:12 UTC

That too, and putting troops in the Rhineland.

2019-06-07 15:23:29 UTC

Weirdly enough though Hitler stayed compliant to Versailles naval limitations until fucking 1943

2019-06-07 15:23:46 UTC

For whatever reason. I assume just sheer lack of material.

2019-06-07 17:07:26 UTC

Britain should’ve stayed out of the war by not allying with Poland

2019-06-07 17:08:07 UTC

Should’ve declared war only when America was up for it

2019-06-07 17:08:14 UTC

Yeah they could have just done nothing and been far better off.

2019-06-07 17:08:20 UTC

Ehh

2019-06-07 17:08:54 UTC

Germany had to be contained to the west but if Belgium and France stayed unannexed

2019-06-07 17:08:59 UTC

The US never would've had a need to go to war without the UK fighting though.

2019-06-07 17:09:29 UTC

A lot of the push for the US to enter the war was due to them selling equipment to Britain and u-boats sinking their supply ships.

2019-06-07 17:09:43 UTC

The east would’ve been an excellent war for the Nazis and Russians that would’ve stopped the USSR from ever becoming a super power

2019-06-07 17:09:54 UTC

But it was Japanese expansionism that did it

2019-06-07 17:10:35 UTC

Well without the UK and US breathing down their necks, I don't think Germany would've had a reason to ally with Japan.

2019-06-07 17:10:53 UTC

Maybe if they opened the 2nd front with the USSR, but they never even did that under the more dire circumstances.

2019-06-07 17:11:28 UTC

Think they'd be more content to just run train on China while Germany and maybe Italy I guess fuck with Russia and the balkans.

2019-06-07 17:11:52 UTC

We should’ve waited until we could just nuke all of Germany Russia japan and China

2019-06-07 17:12:09 UTC

No reason to develop the nuke without being in the war.

2019-06-07 17:12:22 UTC

Germany would've beat you to it I suspect.

2019-06-07 17:12:23 UTC

Tensions were high regardless

2019-06-07 17:12:40 UTC

Germany lost a lot of scientists to the holocaust

2019-06-07 17:13:01 UTC

Still no reason for FDR the not!warhawk to spend taxpayer money on super weapons when they're not even fighting or supporting a war.

2019-06-07 17:13:12 UTC

Theoretical super weapons at that.

2019-06-07 17:13:18 UTC

Hindsight is 20/20.

2019-06-07 17:13:25 UTC

They were militarizing before Pearl Harbor

2019-06-07 17:13:47 UTC

Mhmm and they wouldn't have done that if the UK isn't in the war.

2019-06-07 17:13:52 UTC

Again, no reason.

2019-06-07 17:14:28 UTC

As well, there would've been no cause to kidnap and fuck around with nuclear scientists recruited by Germany from conquest.
