Never mind that our simulations are flawed and inherently bound by rules in ways that quantum mechanics are not
Oh yeah, and that too
Most often these "experiments" aren't even actual irl experiments, just computer simulations
"Wow, look at the output of the computer simulation we've just did, it implies some absolutely irrelevant bullshit that doesn't have anything to do with the actual title of the article and also doesn't necessarily have anything to do with reality, because our simulations aren't anywhere near 100% reliable"
Yes, yes. Very much science.
That was so obviously just banter
It was garbage flirting but its not headline worthy
Not sure I'd count that as flirting
He's obviously intimidated by her, and she actually falls for it and gets provoked
bro, it's not sexist. It's just like if somebody works at nasa you're going to ask them if they work a lowe level job
But yes, the most mind boggling part is that it's news
you don't expect them to be the top mathematician
oh I saw the tweet
he was just making a joke
but she got T R I G G E R E D
Nah, it was hostile
"You look reasonably smart" is really tipping your hand there
It's so obviously not normal to ask someone who just told you they work at NASA if they work as a receptionist
Though more than sexist it was just dumb, low-tier banter
Kind of funny that even though no one here mentioned sexism, including that woman you instinctually knew that it's about sexism
Wow women in science so empowering
A better line would be "so are you the diversity hire?"
Those birthrate numbers are just BS somebody has been feeding people for years not to justify immigration
Finland has supposedly been under replacement birthrate for like 50 years yet their population has been on a gradual increase all that time
really makes you think
don't fall for the birthrate jew narrative
their population has risen every year since the 70s
Birthrate replacement is based on old statistics where kids just died more and people died earlier
We don't have replacement birthrates for 1950's era health and medicine
Population =/= growth rate
When you have a high birth rate then a sudden decrease, it will take a while for the population to decrease because the population has to age
I dont see low birthrates as a problem through
Its actually a good and healthy thing considering how over crowded we are
Its only seen as bad because the lack of growth is compensated for with foreign immigration instead of letting thing slide back into course correction
the rich need workers
What TX said plus growth rate takes immigration into account
So it doesn't have that much to do with birth rate
