why do the stars move?

2019-03-03 04:03:03 UTC

he never went to the moon

2019-03-03 04:03:10 UTC

He did

2019-03-03 04:04:00 UTC

there are an infinite number of shades of grey between black and white

2019-03-03 04:05:24 UTC

y'all go to charter schools?

2019-03-03 04:06:00 UTC

@booshibonton

ummmmmmm we don't have infinite rods and cones in our eyeballs

2019-03-03 04:06:03 UTC

Something is hidden under antarctica, there is of course ancient ruins there WITHOUT A DOUBT, however, what is more interesting is wether there is something advanced and still living, like in Crysis, maybe there is a gate to the inner earth or a mothership frozen in time.

2019-03-03 04:07:05 UTC

@HyperBaroque sure. but, conceptually/in theory, there are still an infinite number of shades of grey.

2019-03-03 04:07:27 UTC

that is impossivle though

2019-03-03 04:07:33 UTC

it's not

2019-03-03 04:07:50 UTC

there arent infinite things in a given space

2019-03-03 04:08:12 UTC

all subspaces are finite

2019-03-03 04:08:22 UTC

then how can a decimal repeat?

2019-03-03 04:08:41 UTC

thats why you use a fraction instead

2019-03-03 04:08:47 UTC

its a truer form

2019-03-03 04:08:49 UTC

lol okie doke

2019-03-03 04:09:18 UTC

Try to go have a distance of 2 meters, walk 1 meter, and then half the distance of your first step for every step forever, you will never reach the end of those 2 meters, in theory.

2019-03-03 04:09:41 UTC

in an infinite number of steps, yeah

2019-03-03 04:09:47 UTC

1/3 is 1/3.

0.333(bar) is never actually 1/3. it only "converges upon 1/3 *toward infinity*". go ahead and try and prove it imperically, but don't expect me to wait up.

omg ya i heard bout flying spiders :D!

2019-03-03 04:11:35 UTC

big branes, here

2019-03-03 04:11:42 UTC

so basically your thought about decimals doesn't have a bearing on physical reality. you can't actually draw, or write down, or store infinite point-three's so you can't reify 0.333-repeating as 1/3.

2019-03-03 04:11:48 UTC

yeah

i misheard

2019-03-03 04:12:58 UTC

fact remains that all subspaces are finite and all materials are physical. you need some material to either reflect or produce light. and there are not infinite numbers of elements or infinite numbers of electrons they can be charged with or isotopes they can be formed into. so there cannot be infinite shades of grey.

2019-03-03 04:13:49 UTC

i'm not speaking about the physical existence of an infinite number of colors

2019-03-03 04:14:29 UTC

there are colors we can see that don't exist in physical reality so maybe you got something there.

2019-03-03 04:14:35 UTC

bill cooper is not jordan maxwell xD LOL

2019-03-03 04:15:09 UTC

well, jordan maxwell kinda looks like that jello fish thing now... anything's possible <:doom:532377533509926912>

I thought we could see all colors because they were the effect of photons boucing off objects at certain wavelenghts filtered out so that only the one color we see is bounced off.

2019-03-03 04:15:55 UTC

@Rigg5 Are you referencing Ed Chiarini's work?
