It's an important, or what some would call -- a momentous day that must be remembered by all members of society (including upstanding citizens such as @Black Thanos III). The day is there to commemorate wonderous occasions such as going to one's first prom, first job interview, first date, competing in a pageant, first red carpet events, and the list could go on.
