The Devil was made out of Man's image, though. We *assumed* the serpent in the Garden of Eden was Satan, even though it is not directly said. with out the devil, there would be no reason to worshipp him, so i guess there is a point to the devil, but know that hes only there for gods grace, and could cease to exist at any point in time
