good sheiza

The color dots are small enough to be hidden and if you get called a color that isn’t there your eyes and brain are going to have to work

2019-07-16 15:35:09 UTC

If you want to actually test shit like that you need to do force on force. Poor mans UTM would be to grab an airsoft gun and some buddies.

2019-07-16 15:36:00 UTC

Good idea, and I thought about that, but was hoping something similar could be emulated wit hlive fire

2019-07-16 15:36:01 UTC

Without OC/Ts that know what they’re doing, you’re going to have a hard time getting the correct feedback though

2019-07-16 15:36:07 UTC

No

2019-07-16 15:36:10 UTC

Not really

2019-07-16 15:38:31 UTC

Live fire? A bunch of rotating target stands, spray paint a gun on some of the cardboard outlines

2019-07-16 15:38:49 UTC

That'a gonna be a pain in the dick to reset and configure every string though

2019-07-16 15:39:15 UTC

That's why I think you need a buddy to rearrange it when you aren't looking, then run it again

2019-07-16 15:39:41 UTC

Or some dirty harry setup

2019-07-16 15:40:23 UTC
2019-07-16 15:42:38 UTC

Or pay for one of those virtual training things with the huge screen lasertag

2019-07-16 16:19:16 UTC

@TemplarActual are you a botkin lover?

Everything is a datapoint. That said, I dig garand thumb a bit more

2019-07-16 17:00:02 UTC

Tbh you might as well just play airsoft if you want to work on PID, but in my experience between airshit and paintball PID is piss easy, you never really have the stress required that is present in live-fire or sim training situations
Even then you should rarely be in a situation where your guys are looking aggressive towards you

2019-07-16 17:09:04 UTC

PID is easy for airsoft just shoot anyone who looks or moves in your direction

2019-07-16 17:12:26 UTC

More or less, which is why it notionally works as a training aide but realistically doesn’t mimic what you see in reel gunfighter scenarios

2019-07-16 17:35:46 UTC

I’m not saying to play airsoft for training. I’m saying you could utilize airsoft guns to create your own force on force scenarios

2019-07-16 17:37:36 UTC

Simmunitions are a poor replacement for live ammo, and airsoft is a poor replacement for simmunitions, but you can work within your constraints to get some worthwhile training value from it

2019-07-16 17:42:05 UTC

sounds about right

2019-07-16 17:43:51 UTC

Just gotta get more than my 2 buds out here and we could run scenarios

2019-07-16 18:42:22 UTC

Someone mentioned me yesterday. What was the question?

2019-07-16 18:44:56 UTC

He has a question about some UCP dead bird jacket. He was just too thin skinned to last long enough until you got here.

2019-07-16 18:46:12 UTC

dead bird pants

2019-07-16 18:46:32 UTC

he got mad cause people didnt agree with his price of 600 based on nothing

2019-07-16 18:48:45 UTC

He's still here

2019-07-16 18:49:19 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:24 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:43 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:48 UTC
2019-07-16 18:49:52 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:56 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:59 UTC

2019-07-16 18:49:59 UTC

bruuh

2019-07-16 18:50:06 UTC

you a whole carnival

2019-07-16 19:02:49 UTC

Truthfully I don’t know anything about dead bird, except that some items are obviously not Berry Compliant.

2019-07-16 19:04:09 UTC

I still want to know if/how they were bought with unit funds since given the prices they go for I think it would be very hard to stay under a certain limit.
