The most excessive I've heard of is Rebekka Koha training 21 times a week in the off season

2019-09-26 19:30:44 UTC

7 days a week is unrelaistic if your goin hard

2019-09-26 19:30:45 UTC

If you count running as working out I usually train 7 days a week

2019-09-26 19:31:21 UTC

Not if you're doped to shit on tren and what not

2019-09-26 19:31:31 UTC

She said most of her sessions weren't like bar or free weights like conditioning and mobility stuff but at least 9-10 sessions a week were weightlifting specifically

2019-09-26 19:32:04 UTC

SF probably trains 7 days a week with the help of the right drugsTM

2019-09-26 19:32:05 UTC

9-10 sessions a week?

2019-09-26 19:32:11 UTC

No 21

2019-09-26 19:32:17 UTC

🤔

2019-09-26 19:32:18 UTC

But 9-10 were specifically weightlifting

2019-09-26 19:32:44 UTC

The most ridiculous are the old bulgarians woth 14 heavy weightlifting specific sessions a week

2019-09-26 19:32:49 UTC

Nothing below like 75%

2019-09-26 19:32:59 UTC

Brutal

2019-09-26 19:33:02 UTC

But they were all on a dangerous amount of steroids

2019-09-26 19:33:15 UTC

I just do a 4day upper lower split

2019-09-26 19:33:18 UTC

Their joints must all be shot by now

2019-09-26 19:33:26 UTC

N calisthenics

2019-09-26 19:33:36 UTC

Abjiaev (the coach) said the program wasn't working if your knees didn't hurt

2019-09-26 19:33:47 UTC

If your knees didn't hurt you were bitching out on % loading

2019-09-26 19:33:49 UTC

Calis on the off days aside from sunday where i do fuckall

2019-09-26 19:34:05 UTC

@Smart Car Driveby thats awful advice for long term lol

2019-09-26 19:34:19 UTC

Yes

2019-09-26 19:34:23 UTC

as the good lord intended

2019-09-26 19:34:25 UTC

But it makes you olympic champion

2019-09-26 19:34:26 UTC

So

2019-09-26 19:35:11 UTC

That’s more of a job at that point

2019-09-26 19:35:37 UTC

But being in a field that requires you and it helps to stay in shape is a pretty good motivator

2019-09-26 19:35:49 UTC

The program wasn't designed for the following:
People without steroids
People who aren't weightlifters
People who don't have 8 hours a day to train and 12 hours to sleep
People who don't have incredible mental drive and don't mind lifting literally the same weight day in and day out for years

2019-09-26 19:36:34 UTC

Oh yeah no these guys were professional athletes, you literally existed to lift eat do steroids sleep and then go to worlds/olympics and win

2019-09-26 19:37:14 UTC

Idk if you've maybe heard some people talk about the Bulgarian method or Bulgarian training but it was that

2019-09-26 19:37:22 UTC

And there's a reason no one does it anymore

2019-09-26 19:39:30 UTC

just poop

2019-09-26 19:40:32 UTC

Yea i saw a version of the bulgarian method n decided i like my joints

2019-09-26 19:42:27 UTC

Legitimately I think maybe only 3 days a week weight training is sufficient for most people especially if overall athleticism is the goal and not strength specific or competiting in strength sports is the goal

2019-09-26 19:43:39 UTC

I'm not a coach or a pt so Idk but you could excercise every day for sure with 3 weight trainings a week, maybe not every day if you did weights 4 days a week but 4 a week lets you go day on day off which is pretty popular

2019-09-26 19:44:16 UTC

PPL and cardio is perfectly fine if you just want general fitness

2019-09-26 19:45:01 UTC

I do my upper lower split tues-wed fri-sat

2019-09-26 19:46:11 UTC

Time constraints or do you actually like going 2, day off, 2 then 2 days off again

2019-09-26 19:54:06 UTC

A bit of both

2019-09-26 19:54:45 UTC

Id my job wasnt so labor intensive id go 5-6 days a week

2019-09-26 19:59:21 UTC
