So i was just in a shitty reserve unit but they issued us hydration bladders and 2x canteens specifically because they said the bladders tend to burst. Maybe the canteen idea is dumb, ill own that - i wouldnt have asked if I wasnt second guessing it myself.

it's not dumb to own a canteen it's dumb to not use a bladder just because you're worried about the small chance of it breaking
