Would it be better to get a monocular or one of these mall ninja looking headband set ups?

2019-10-14 03:39:34 UTC

what do you mean by that

2019-10-14 03:40:14 UTC

how are those mutually exclusive

2019-10-14 03:40:18 UTC

I see some single tubes for $250, and some double tube headsets going for $20 more

2019-10-14 03:40:58 UTC

Yeah

2019-10-14 03:41:03 UTC

Definitely buy those

2019-10-14 03:41:05 UTC

🤔

2019-10-14 03:41:06 UTC

It’s a great deal

2019-10-14 03:41:15 UTC

no

2019-10-14 03:41:30 UTC

2019-10-14 03:42:02 UTC

twice the nightvision for only 20 bucks more huh

2019-10-14 03:42:35 UTC

I read further in, apparently refurbished

2019-10-14 03:43:21 UTC

Is this a good deal?

2019-10-14 03:43:23 UTC

😬

2019-10-14 03:44:31 UTC

yes

2019-10-14 03:44:33 UTC

>digital

2019-10-14 03:45:05 UTC

@CTL I think it's been so long since the Army approved a new name for a generation that companies want to make it clear that the newer tech is being included, not the minimum for gen 3.

2019-10-14 03:45:06 UTC

solar pls

2019-10-14 03:46:26 UTC

@Festive retard

2019-10-14 03:46:39 UTC

It's a made up generation because the Army won't name it.

2019-10-14 03:47:03 UTC

Well the Army is going digital HUD with fusion as an interim so there's really not a need, but what I meant is those "gen 4" specs that ATN put out aren't any better than gen 3

2019-10-14 03:47:50 UTC

tbh using generation to describe the overall quality nightvision is smoothbrain knuckledragger tier

2019-10-14 03:48:35 UTC

FOM is the patrician rating

2019-10-14 03:49:02 UTC

Huh, this Sightmark doesnt look too bad. Now lets say I mount this on a bump helmet, whats a good brand for that?

2019-10-14 03:49:05 UTC

fusion isn't really gen 3+ either since it doesn't effect the imaging quality of the intensifier

2019-10-14 03:49:10 UTC

I keep hearing arguments between high vs low cut

2019-10-14 03:49:21 UTC

@Solar sightmark was a shitpost

2019-10-14 03:49:32 UTC

epin

2019-10-14 03:49:51 UTC

they're actually usable depending on application if you have a standalone IR illuminator

2019-10-14 03:49:57 UTC

but for anything tactical they're garbage

2019-10-14 03:50:33 UTC

>high vs low cut

2019-10-14 03:50:46 UTC

Super high cut or die

2019-10-14 03:50:51 UTC

Any reason?

2019-10-14 03:51:02 UTC

Unless you're actually CAG

2019-10-14 03:51:17 UTC

poor focus that needs to be adjusted all the time, 100% dependant on infrared light to see, no ambient light amplification

2019-10-14 03:51:18 UTC

cag using high cuts over super high is an smh tbh

2019-10-14 03:51:46 UTC

Big facts

2019-10-14 03:51:49 UTC

Ok, Ill have to save up a bit for some legit stuff then. And maybe ask around to see what other people got.

2019-10-14 03:52:05 UTC

gen 1 is good for stationary observation of things that are not able to see infrared light

2019-10-14 03:52:10 UTC

4 hole with direct mounted gsgm is 100000 IQ tho
