I have a berghaus centurio 30 with two 15l side pockets

2019-10-26 20:49:16 UTC

my old pack was some garbage kelty frame pack

2019-10-26 20:50:08 UTC

kinda wish i'd picked up the centurio 45 but the 30 was used and wayyyy cheaper

2019-10-26 20:50:30 UTC

I did a 193 in Colorado with my kelty and the only complaints are the shoulder pading is too thick and the cumber straps ride too high

2019-10-26 20:50:50 UTC

pretty comfy pack all things considered

2019-10-26 20:50:54 UTC

i mean my kelty isnt awful

2019-10-26 20:50:56 UTC

its serviceable

2019-10-26 20:50:57 UTC

The mystery ranch seems to have fixxed all those issues

2019-10-26 20:51:04 UTC

but like man, its just so outdated

2019-10-26 20:51:13 UTC

Alice is outdated

2019-10-26 20:51:20 UTC

yeah alice is poopy

2019-10-26 20:51:34 UTC

external frame in general is pretty outdated

2019-10-26 20:51:38 UTC

Anyone who is running Alice in a serious maner or alice style pack is retarded larping

2019-10-26 20:51:43 UTC

unless youre using one of those fancy hunting packs or whatever

2019-10-26 20:51:57 UTC

I can't stand Alice

2019-10-26 20:52:12 UTC

And the "improved alice" frames are hot shit

2019-10-26 20:52:50 UTC

also the side pockets can be rigged up as a really retarded looking pack, if you really wanted

2019-10-26 20:52:55 UTC

for the centurio

2019-10-26 20:53:00 UTC

which i thought is quite funny

2019-10-26 20:53:35 UTC

That looks super unbalanced and hard to use

2019-10-26 20:53:42 UTC

yeah

2019-10-26 20:53:59 UTC

I felt that my issued MOLLE ruck's frame was subpar when wearing kit, since the frame is ergonomic to a bare back and shit. Trying to ruck up a mountain in 4 feet of snow is hard enough without the frame wobbling around.
The ALICE frame fit pretty snug around my back plate and helped hold it still

2019-10-26 20:53:59 UTC

the straps go on on uh, molle (i think?) on the back of them

2019-10-26 20:54:12 UTC

Legit looks like it puts weight where your back is not made to support it

2019-10-26 20:54:51 UTC

not molle

2019-10-26 20:54:52 UTC

2019-10-26 20:54:59 UTC

heres what they look like rigged up on the back

2019-10-26 20:55:01 UTC

lol

2019-10-26 20:55:08 UTC

nutsack pack

2019-10-26 20:55:14 UTC

the real use for them though is to zipper them to the sides of the pack

2019-10-26 20:55:16 UTC

Bruh

2019-10-26 20:55:20 UTC

theyre compatible with most berghaus packs

2019-10-26 20:55:22 UTC

>zipper riding on your spine
Sounds very fun

2019-10-26 20:55:46 UTC

so i can upsize this pack with the same pockets that i use on my 30l

2019-10-26 20:55:51 UTC

if i wanted to get another pack

2019-10-26 20:56:18 UTC

but 60l total is more than enough, imo

2019-10-26 20:56:35 UTC

Up in Alaska, we get issued special cold weather uniforms, and the pants come with suspenders that we're supposed to wear instead of belts because belts can cut off some circulation and cause cold weather injuries

2019-10-26 20:56:48 UTC

suspenders are comfy

2019-10-26 20:57:04 UTC

Those suspenders have a plastic slider to adjust them

2019-10-26 20:57:13 UTC

Here is the mystery ranch out elk hunting

2019-10-26 20:57:15 UTC

Those plastic sliders are not comfy under plates
