NYPD isn't a good example

2019-12-17 06:05:23 UTC

but you know how people love to buy stuff they think will make them more accurate

2019-12-17 06:05:26 UTC

even though they suck

2019-12-17 06:05:38 UTC

2019-12-17 06:06:16 UTC

but I am what you'd call a discord expert

2019-12-17 06:06:32 UTC

brb, going to fuck some discord trannies from a server I moderate

2019-12-17 06:06:38 UTC

police are a lot like deer hunters in my experience

2019-12-17 06:06:59 UTC

somehow manage to miss their shot at 70 yards and think they're really reaching out at 130

2019-12-17 06:07:19 UTC

Why are hunters such retards a lot of the times though?

2019-12-17 06:07:27 UTC

I had a family member who is in to hunting

2019-12-17 06:07:28 UTC

woods here are so thick you can't shoot a deer past 100, yet these guys have 7mm mag with 16x scopes

2019-12-17 06:07:32 UTC

and offered to take me with

2019-12-17 06:07:45 UTC

but freaked out when I wanted to bring an iron sight gun

2019-12-17 06:08:22 UTC

like his cheap piece of shit walmart glass was really that advantageous

2019-12-17 06:09:04 UTC

people are usually terrible shots

2019-12-17 06:09:22 UTC

i dont think even swat has armor piercing rounds

2019-12-17 06:09:45 UTC

4moa from a bench with a gun that should be able to deliver at 800 yards

2019-12-17 06:10:33 UTC

while you're next to them shooting moa with irons listening to them complain about their scope being loose and thats why they missed a deer opening weekend

2019-12-17 06:11:52 UTC

You'd think they'd have some on standby in case of confirmed armored suspects.

2019-12-17 06:12:16 UTC

maybe??

2019-12-17 06:12:48 UTC

it would take someone within the management side who was aware of the characteristics of armor and the rounds that can defeat it

2019-12-17 06:13:18 UTC

^

2019-12-17 06:13:28 UTC

i dont know that a given police department would have such an individual. even if they were ex-mil they might not know whats on the street here. its not like they'd deal with armored up individuals every day

2019-12-17 06:13:30 UTC

Or a general "we need something to defeat body armor"

2019-12-17 06:13:45 UTC

after a political event

2019-12-17 06:13:57 UTC

🤔

2019-12-17 06:13:58 UTC

I remember seeing quite a few MSM articles about body armor

2019-12-17 06:14:10 UTC

and a lot of talk in congress about drafting a bill to ban it

2019-12-17 06:14:20 UTC

I think CT even passed a new law or something like that

2019-12-17 06:14:28 UTC

plus they probably aren't going to spend a ton of money on a hypothetical threat they've never even faced. getting surplus shit from the feds makes more sense though

2019-12-17 06:14:30 UTC

Ct is cucked yeah

2019-12-17 06:14:33 UTC

No armor sales

2019-12-17 06:14:42 UTC

There's a lot of cross training and coordination between fed Le and SWAT, military and SWAT.
I don't think there are any swat teams that are just left to their own devices.

2019-12-17 06:14:51 UTC

idk if they can even surplus AP ammo to the police, but shit, if they can give them an MRAP why not?
