New bolt catch came in. It still sits a little lower than I've seen in pictures but it works. I also got a replacement buffer spring retainer because I broke my original one by doing something kinda stupid and I ended up having to sand the new one to make it fit, so I'm pretty sure the problem is the lower. I won't buy Noreen lowers anymore. I'll probably give 5D tactical a try next time. But now my ar is finally 100% finished and functional.

Well it's handled about 60-90 rounds so far so we'll see. I plan on taking it to an outdoor range on Monday and if they let you use steal ammo I'll probably put it over 200.

Oh I gotcha. Well, I'm hoping to put a few hundred rounds through it each month, so hopefully it adds up. I need find find a good source of cheap practice ammo though. And I know there's a big difference between a few mags a month and endless use and abuse in combat. I'd love to see whether what I built could handle that or not, but it's never going to experience that unless the igloo goes off. Maybe when I'm making more money I'll be able to buy enough ammo to really put it through it's places but for now, I'm happy with what I made.
