Ernest Hemmingway was shocked until he wasn't able to write any longer

2019-03-11 00:09:22 UTC

they used to think drilling holes in the skull to let the demons out was good aswell

2019-03-11 00:09:27 UTC

it may be some false correlation, like 1000 things where psychs are messing around

2019-03-11 00:10:59 UTC

It is not abandoned at all, there is a difference between electro convulsive treatment before modern medicine, and that is NOT because it wasn't effective, it was because it was not ordained the correct way, it caused the patients to fracture bones be cause of the convulsions, but modern medicine does not induce that high of a current and gives muscle relaxants.

2019-03-11 00:11:08 UTC

Is dont worth too study something that in a any longer doesnt worth and in something that is delicate like mind controll.

2019-03-11 00:11:43 UTC

@Armo Can you change my name to Andrew Yang?

2019-03-11 00:11:52 UTC

these people are psychopaths preying on a bunch of butterfly chasing schitzophrenics

2019-03-11 00:12:05 UTC

They dont need to study an ancient method of treatment, yeah, they already know how to give electro chock therapy.

2019-03-11 00:12:48 UTC

I've lost the link, but i think there was some nice stats showing that best treatment for psychosis was to treat it as a kind of a trip and create a best "safe space" possible. And not trying to cure anything by "force"/actively

2019-03-11 00:13:11 UTC

exactly xxx

2019-03-11 00:13:11 UTC

But therapy is to cure any illness. we are talking about if it's worth to use it in mind controll.

2019-03-11 00:13:59 UTC

I dont see why it couldn't be used for that as one of the side effects are amnesia.

2019-03-11 00:14:02 UTC

If the goal is to make a zombie - then maybe it a nice tool

2019-03-11 00:14:37 UTC

electroshock them till they can't think then smash them with ELF

2019-03-11 00:14:58 UTC

@xxxjxxx we dont want a zombie we want a puppet a puppet is able to control it a zombie is like a braindead.

2019-03-11 00:15:27 UTC

I don't trust introducing new external electrical impulses into a fundamentally electrically driven thing like the body

2019-03-11 00:15:29 UTC

scoplamine makes a 2in1

2019-03-11 00:16:16 UTC

some people might be more likely targets of mind control than others, i think.

2019-03-11 00:16:22 UTC

people who don't fit in and stuff like that.

2019-03-11 00:16:24 UTC

@Cthuluwu People do actually benefit from the treatment even this day and age, its much safer than the inhumane practice it was before.

2019-03-11 00:16:49 UTC

I'm skeptical of it but maybe

2019-03-11 00:16:51 UTC

people without family or friends

2019-03-11 00:17:08 UTC

It seems so susceptible to abuse and malpractice

2019-03-11 00:17:12 UTC

i have family, not many friends, but im a social group(s) that are very disliked.

2019-03-11 00:17:56 UTC

No if someone have family is more easy to controll, you can make pressure like damaging her mother, brother. etc

2019-03-11 00:18:03 UTC

And then he will fear you.

2019-03-11 00:18:40 UTC

pretty sure when they can rock up at your house with a psychiatrist a dozen cops and say you have no human rights get in the van we are taking you to our secure location to drug you, abuse and malpractise is already long gone

2019-03-11 00:19:05 UTC

susceptibility to*

2019-03-11 00:19:49 UTC

@Cthuluwu Well it would have to be organized abuse since one needs a medical team to carry this out correctly, one of them could be a shitty person but what is the probability that everyone would conspire against the patient?

2019-03-11 00:20:03 UTC

@Máchi Dóxa oh really how can they do that?

2019-03-11 00:20:35 UTC

they can lie your a danger toyourself or others for no reason

2019-03-11 00:20:36 UTC

^Not far from accurate @Máchi Dóxa Emergency Examination Authority’s pretty much cover that.

2019-03-11 00:21:18 UTC

people say it was just a hospital visit i say i was kidnapped and drugged against my will

2019-03-11 00:21:22 UTC

But that's only will be worth it if you try to induce him to mind control make him to become a paranoic and force him to go to the cops but that is kinda impossible. If you have money you can do It but is gonna be a waste of time if dont worth.

2019-03-11 00:21:48 UTC

hmmm...that's creepy. if anyone busted inside my place they'd be dead

2019-03-11 00:21:49 UTC

lol

2019-03-11 00:21:55 UTC

so i know that's never happened to me

2019-03-11 00:22:03 UTC

You do have rights, but if you are a danger to yourself you can be taken into custody for them to watch over you. This isn't just something a single person can say, after a doctor does this a judge is notified to protect their civil rights, they need to have a good reason to do this.

2019-03-11 00:22:18 UTC

Risk to self to others and no insight into impacts of condition on daily living then boom sectioned on an involuntary treatment order

2019-03-11 00:23:05 UTC

@EzkealSutekh but how can you prove it

>be a paranoic
>go to the police station
>say hey I think some one is brain washing me.
>get kicked out.

2019-03-11 00:23:20 UTC

nobody really believes in brainwashing.
