Only erupting in military intervention in some occasions
Like in the 60's here
Or at Iraq in the 2000's
No, they benefitted from capital the most due to their gold.
@Mr. X they don't benefited from it
They depend on it
They did of course
Even got some wells because of it
They are reliant on selling it to sustain the economy
While amassing a huge debt
from my grandfather paying some aswell as paying some to ghana's government
Because the bilateral trades are much heavier to them
@Mr. X that themselves probably used to pay external debt
Still a benefit
A good part of Africa gross production is directed at debt
@Mr. X for who? Not the population for sure
They work for foreign companies under terrible conditions
For the economy which in turn helps make sure the population isnt going in worse poverty
Only to make their economy even more dependent
@Mr. X economy growing isn't necessarily going to stop poverty
Thats how my grandfather got rich, he worked for foreign companies.
Well he's lucky as hell, most get hunger and die
No of course not, their will always be poverty
Like we have?
No not most, most get richer and have a less chance to die
Nope dude
Every country has poverty
in some form
Most don't get out of poverty
I'm happy that your grandfather worked hard and got a better life
But most of us don't get it
Then why are the majority of western countries and some eastern countries not in poverty?
Majority of the populations
@Mr. X they are not necessarily in direct but relative poverty
They are paid monstrous amounts less than they produce
No most in the US and Europe are in the middle class, they arent homeless or jobless
And western countries struggle more and more with poverty
@Mr. Xrelstive poverty
They produce a ton for what they are paid
And those people are getting fucked too
