Wiki isnt a fantastic source and its not all about tanks
the USA contributed less than 5% of the soviet union's tanks
okay
find a better source
not my job
this source actually gives a lower number
6000
I dont care for tanks I said
Ill settle on the latter
the lend lease wasnt just tanks
Implying capitalists want to be your friend
okay what do you think was the biggest impact if it wasn't tanks?
planes? guns?
name anything
Everything including tanks
okay let's review these figures
what the russians had was their sacrifise and blood but that didnt win the war alone
However ww2 was won due to the americans
and a southern one
all together, there were 17 million tons of goods shipped to the USSR
from 1941-1945
let's just look at soviet production of raw materials here
all together, the USSR produced 263 million tons of coal, ore, steel, and aluminium
Like I said, lend lease and blood alone didnt win the war
which means that the USA shipped the soviets less than 6% of what they produced themselves
the lend-lease act did basically nothing for the soviets
except prepare far more men
and that's not even including soviet production/storage of any machines or vehicles
dont forget the newer technology
that's the US's entire shipments vs soviet raw materials alone
were there any soviet troops armed with thompson machine guns on the front lines?
which greatly helped moscow and stalingrad during winter
any shermans on the eastern front?
No? But many others
Better tanks for sure
the majority of the US's shipped tanks were shermans
4000 out of 7000
So then there was
