So that is the reason as to why everybody states that marxism and communism fails every time it is tried, because they have always ended up capitulating to capitalism, or abandoning marxism.

Your claim is actually unsubstantiated. None of the places you listed had to "become capitalist in order to survive". In fact, they thrived under socialist policies. This is evidenced by the statistics regarding education, healthcare, technology, labor, etc. What's interesting is that the quality of life actually decreased after the fall of the Soviet Union. This can be confirmed by studies done by the Russian government, as well as outside sources.

@Anarchist-Communist Still think I am trolling?

2018-02-27 23:34:14 UTC

Also, over half of the population of the former USSR thinks highly of life under socialism, and actually desires a return to that way of life.

2018-02-27 23:34:38 UTC

The life expectancy of every single country once in the soviet union dropped.

2018-02-27 23:35:05 UTC

Let me guess.

2018-02-27 23:35:08 UTC

> 2013

2018-02-27 23:35:16 UTC

Lol

2018-02-27 23:36:28 UTC

@Deleted User Of course, why woulden't quality of life decrease over time after a giant and long lasting country collapsed, and you really have the ego to claim that china, vietnam, the near collapse USSR, and cuba, didn't become capitalist?

2018-02-27 23:37:23 UTC

Cuba is not capitalist, and it's obvious that the USSR implemented market-oriented policies and economic liberalization not long before it's collapse.

2018-02-27 23:37:54 UTC

That's a primary factor that contributed to its collapse lol.

2018-02-27 23:39:10 UTC

@Deleted User So then you admit that the USSR was indeed capitalist later on?

Regulation =/= Nationalization.

2018-02-27 23:39:48 UTC

Of course. That's an undeniable fact. And lmao, you clearly don't understand how small the private sector is in Cuba.

2018-02-27 23:40:45 UTC

@Deleted User Under marxism, shoulden't private and capitalist elements be outright illegalized?

2018-02-27 23:43:56 UTC

Cuba is a shithole

2018-02-27 23:44:06 UTC

Idk what "under Marxism" means, but in ideal conditions and under a fully-developed socialist system, that would be true.

2018-02-27 23:44:14 UTC

@Queef Madagascar Agreed, but that is a topic for another day.

2018-02-27 23:44:33 UTC

@Deleted User I meant, in the marxist belief system.

2018-02-27 23:44:42 UTC

Every country is capitalist today

2018-02-27 23:44:56 UTC

Sure they might call themself something else but they are

2018-02-27 23:45:17 UTC

@Queef Madagascar Ehh, not really when you look at the islamic states and north korea.

2018-02-27 23:45:31 UTC

Saudi is capitalist

2018-02-27 23:45:55 UTC

And North korea is a true shithole

2018-02-27 23:46:17 UTC

Saudi arabia can barely be called an islamic state.

2018-02-27 23:46:18 UTC

The best option is a mix of private and public

2018-02-27 23:46:53 UTC

the best mix of private and public is 0% private <:blobsmirk:396521731185180684>

2018-02-27 23:48:03 UTC

@nerd 0% public or private? Now I am intrigued.

2018-02-27 23:56:45 UTC

Imagine being this consumed by ideology

2018-02-27 23:57:14 UTC

Public and "private sector" limited to co-ops

2018-02-27 23:58:54 UTC

@Queef Madagascar Cuba is a "shithole"? Is that why they have one of the best healthcare systems in all of Latin America? Or how about the fact that they offer free university-level education? How about the fact that homelessness and job insecurity are virtually non-existent? What about the lung cancer vaccine they recently developed? And all under a bullshit embargo that was imposed on them decades ago. Damn, what a shithole.

2018-02-28 00:01:49 UTC

stalin was great

2018-02-28 00:05:56 UTC

@Deleted User To be fair, you don't know for sure whether or not those claims are truthful thanks to cuba's shut in situation, but then again, I haven't heard anything that disagree's with that statement yet.

2018-02-28 00:09:58 UTC

woah such great healthcare

2018-02-28 00:11:06 UTC

>cuba is a poor country that struggles to provide housing

2018-02-28 00:11:47 UTC

you know what they say, what you pay for is what you get
