The general impression I get with Kafka is that he's there's some messed up shit going on beneath the surface that he doesn't really want the reader to know about but still feels compelled to express in a very cryptic and roundabout way

What that is however is hard to tell, and apparently some people assign him a variety of mental illnesses from manic depressive disorder to schizophrenia

My friend suffers from paranoid schizophrenia but he never liked talking about it much

He just mentioned hearing voices and being extremely uncomfortable going into public

I dont mind talking about it, I have paranoid too
