Raynald of Chatillon started the war because he kept raiding Saracen caravans even killing Saladin's sister
thus breaking the fragile truce

Saladin crushed the crusader army at Hattin, and captured both the leaders, he offered water with ice to Guy (King of Jerusalem) and once finished passed the remaining water to Raynold, to which Saladin struck the cup to the floor as Raynold didn't deserve it
He then executed him but spared Guy's life saying that Kings shouldn't kill each other
