It wouldn’t make sense to buy a 74 for anything other then a range toy

Steel cased 308 is almost as cheap as 5.45 now

Yeah since we don't live in eastern europe or russia

It makes more sense go with a caliber that's pretty much standard in our homeland

7.62x39 is ridiculously common as is 5.56 and 308

And I’ve never had an issue running steel case in an AK where I have with an AR

Can get 1000 rounds of x39 for around 150

Yeah there seems to be a common myth that AKs are inaccurate compared to an AR

My Arsenal AK is accurate as hell, as is my WASR

But I think part of it is due to people not knowing how to use AK irons lol

WASRs had canted sight issues and that didn’t help

And the irons are admittedly not the greatest

Yeah the irons were made with shooting a human torso in mind

They’re not precision guns for sure, they weren’t intended to be though

Also the 7.62 ammo available in the use is pretty shit for accuracy compared to 5.56

With a good mount and good optics they do good
