Considering looking into the various militias/threeper groups, youโd be surprised at some of the people
As much as the boog community shits on them there are some gems to be found
Medical is important but knowing how to use it is even bigger
Lots of folks buy med gear and have no clue how to use it
Thats good
People focus way too much on tactical gear and overspend
Having a good quality gun, some spare parts and ammunition is important but so is having a few months worth of food and water ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Yeah, but canned beef stew is cheap and has a long ass shelf life
Same with spam, donโt really need mountain house meals that cost a fortune that last 20 years
When you can rotate beef stew/spam and other such items
And the money you save can go towards other essentials but I guess that all depends if you plan on bugging out or holding down somewhere
Lots of variables that need to be considered besides plate carrier and an AR, a boogaloo can be the result of both political and environmental reasons
So I like to be prepared for multiple scenarios and not just boogeymen/alphabet bois
Yeah
Tornadoes, Great Depression 2.0
Floods and so on. Gonna look awfully dumb mag dumping into flood water because you live in a potential flood zone but never thought of sand bags or other material to help prevent the water from getting to your house
Thatโs the big divide between the preppers and boogbois
We had a flood last year in an area that had never flooded
Depends on terrain, soil composition
Trees and so on.
If you have soil erosion and more clay towards the top guess what?
And they change over time
So what was a flood zone 5 years ago may not actually even flood anymore. And what isnโt may very well
I recently purchased a milling machine off amazon
It works surprisingly well for being only around 700 bucks
And made in China
Not as good as the stuff at work
But thatโs also 20x the cost ๐
Lmao
Iโve done an 80 on it, but I restore antiques and often times itโs easier to mill a part then find a replacement
Have a lathe for turning bolts and such , if you look around you can find some good deals and TONS of learning material on YouTube
Depends on the state
They ainโt takin my draco
Depends on conditions
Urban? A lot. Dense woodlands? A lot
Open fields? None except for birds
Itโs a very multi purpose hunting weapon, anything from deer with slugs to rabbits and squirrels with 8 shot
Overall yeah, if youโre looking at a unitasker
IF I had to choose one long gun only it would for sure be a rifle
Iโve been partial to AKs again recently
Mostly cus my draco is surprisingly effective as fuck
And on the chrono it hadnโt lost much velocity and Iโm still tagging targets at 300 yards lol
Compared to my 11.5 AR where itโs a noticeable drop
draco+brace has been awesome, my new favorite gun for sure
And itโs all Romanian compared to a wasr
I did too when it was cheap
I still have a lot of 7N6 for the tantal
Iโd deff go 7.62 now
When 5.45 was basically free it was awesome
Itโs still a great round IMO but ammo availability and price just isnโt there anymore ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Fairly similar
With green tip 5.56 being readily available and 7N6 not
It wouldnโt make sense to buy a 74 for anything other then a range toy
7.62x39 is ridiculously common as is 5.56 and 308
And Iโve never had an issue running steel case in an AK where I have with an AR
Can get 1000 rounds of x39 for around 150
I really like the round for 300 yards and in, it really does wonders.
AK will always be my answer lol
Stupid simple, parts are dirt cheap
For shits n gigs I had a WASR and put 6000 rounds through it without major cleaning
Just swabbing the barrel
All dirty as fuck steel case Tula
My Arsenal AK is accurate as hell, as is my WASR
WASRs had canted sight issues and that didnโt help
And the irons are admittedly not the greatest
Theyโre not precision guns for sure, they werenโt intended to be though
With a good mount and good optics they do good
Tabuk
Yeah
Theyโre actually pretty decent
Fiocchi x39 is really good but not dirt cheap
120-130 for 200 rounds
Hahaha Iโve been into AKs way before YouTube
I love ARs also but AK was my first love, well 89 dollar SKSs were
And wasrs were 300 bucks and every gun show had booths of dudes slinging surp by the crate
Chinese SKSs always had a premium
Yugo SKSs on the other hand? Nuts
I bought a Finn Mosin and a spam can of a ammo for 150 lol
Speaking of x54r
The prices of PSLs are NUTS
Not imported but will be
Yeah
This was about 10-12 years ago
Regular mosins could be had for 75-100
I bought my PSL for I think 500
Sold it last month for 2300 lol
Bought new plates and a carrier and still had money left over lmao
So I bought a draco wit da brace ๐
Budget?
JPC and vism 3+ plates
The new poly plates are light
6 pounds a piece I think?
Heโs not wrong
Also depending on environment may not even be needed
Would probably be better served taking some clssses over plates imo
Herro
Like basically eod engineer
Or an actual engineer ๐
What kind of engineer
