Ar 500 has nice packages...you can start small and build it or buy all at once

Me n a buddy just ordered a setup with carrier, plates, sides, pads and all for 650..that's 11 x14 plates and the thicker buildup for spell reduction...

But it is a really modular system for purchasing what you need/want...some of the best ballistics for the money

Those are nice. But in longevity I am happy with the steel plates...heavier yes than ceramic, but they keep on keeping on

I have some lvl IV standalone multi hit plates from us palm...they went outta business. They weigh basically the same as the steel I'm getting, but they are over an inch thick...the steel will weigh the same but be much slimmer

Of course the steel are lvl III+ but for on the move that should be adequate

Nahh the coating eliminates it well. And it is basically bed liner. So buy a can from wherever and reapply during down periods if need be.

That shit is all kinds of bomb resistant too for all kinds of other applications

Level IV plates require a 4ft drop prior to testing per NIJ standards.

Eh, weight is a big thing and if you get PE ceramic composite thickness is not a factor any more and spalling is non-existent

And multi hit plates are a thing too

Seen PE ceramic take 5 hits of AP 308

And I'm a huge proponent of people spending their money on expensive thingsnif that's what they want. Haha
