Interesting

2020-01-17 07:53:37 UTC

I hike a lot, so there's a use for it there too

2020-01-17 07:53:49 UTC

I want something weather proof and I've heard nothing but praise for it

2020-01-17 11:17:13 UTC

Nice. Looks intimidating. What's the helmet ?

2020-01-17 14:36:22 UTC

@MrBlack Looks like a Sin water

2020-01-17 14:36:27 UTC

Eater^

2020-01-17 16:15:52 UTC

Anyone know a good plate carrier with plate slots on both sides that still have good mobility

2020-01-17 16:20:38 UTC

Price range?

2020-01-17 16:21:07 UTC

Under 300$

2020-01-17 16:21:27 UTC

Can you put side plates on a slickster

2020-01-17 16:21:40 UTC

I have to buy plates and shit so I’m trying not to put too much money into the carrier

2020-01-17 16:22:08 UTC

The banshee one that someone sent yesterday was nice

2020-01-17 16:22:33 UTC

Ferro concepts came out with new cumberbund that holds plates

2020-01-17 16:23:21 UTC

Ding ding ding

2020-01-17 16:24:03 UTC

Okay I have to switch classes be back in a few

2020-01-17 16:35:36 UTC

AWS OCPC

2020-01-17 16:47:48 UTC

Their site is semi cancer but 169 for a carrier that I've only heard good things about seems good to me

2020-01-17 18:56:38 UTC

What about the banshee?

2020-01-17 20:43:36 UTC

Ar 500 has nice packages...you can start small and build it or buy all at once

2020-01-17 20:44:32 UTC

Me n a buddy just ordered a setup with carrier, plates, sides, pads and all for 650..that's 11 x14 plates and the thicker buildup for spell reduction...

2020-01-17 20:44:38 UTC

Gonna be heeevvvvyyyy

2020-01-17 20:45:17 UTC

But it is a really modular system for purchasing what you need/want...some of the best ballistics for the money

2020-01-17 20:46:44 UTC

@MrBlack does that mask have any ballistics?

2020-01-17 20:53:14 UTC

@johnnyConrad check out skdtac.com they offer plate and carrier packages that don't weigh a fuckton like those fucking ar500 steel ones

2020-01-17 20:56:32 UTC

Those are nice. But in longevity I am happy with the steel plates...heavier yes than ceramic, but they keep on keeping on

2020-01-17 20:57:44 UTC

I have some lvl IV standalone multi hit plates from us palm...they went outta business. They weigh basically the same as the steel I'm getting, but they are over an inch thick...the steel will weigh the same but be much slimmer

2020-01-17 20:58:33 UTC

Of course the steel are lvl III+ but for on the move that should be adequate

2020-01-17 20:59:56 UTC

Yeah but shrapnel in your jugular

2020-01-17 21:04:27 UTC

Nahh the coating eliminates it well. And it is basically bed liner. So buy a can from wherever and reapply during down periods if need be.

2020-01-17 21:04:48 UTC

That shit is all kinds of bomb resistant too for all kinds of other applications

2020-01-17 21:35:15 UTC

I’ll go with the banshee plate carrier and order off of tactical gear so that I can use that gift card

2020-01-17 21:54:46 UTC

Solid choice

2020-01-17 21:59:17 UTC

@Recapdrake I agree with you, spalling worries merry

2020-01-17 22:10:40 UTC

Wtf was that

2020-01-17 22:15:21 UTC
2020-01-17 23:06:36 UTC

Level IV plates require a 4ft drop prior to testing per NIJ standards.

2020-01-17 23:09:52 UTC

Eh, weight is a big thing and if you get PE ceramic composite thickness is not a factor any more and spalling is non-existent

2020-01-17 23:10:04 UTC

And multi hit plates are a thing too

2020-01-17 23:10:23 UTC

Seen PE ceramic take 5 hits of AP 308

2020-01-17 23:10:52 UTC

And I'm a huge proponent of people spending their money on expensive thingsnif that's what they want. Haha
