granted triple curve
I thought about getting swimmers for my personal plates
I recomend them
But haven’t messed with them before
I’ve got large swimmer rear medium shooter cut front
really improves range of movement, though you could probably still do SAPI for back plate as you aren't really needing much motion back there unless you actually are swimming
I just want to shoulder my rifle better lol
They are ok if u size up and use it as a rear but I feel like as a front plate staying same size u give up a lot of pelvic girdle and collar bone coverage
Jesus swimming in body armor. That just sounds like a nightmare
It is
It fucking SUCKS
I don't do water, espeically in full gear.
I read somewhere that they make buoyant plates for team guys now
does anyone have a link to that mcfreaking bouyant set of plates?
Yeah the seals have like boyancy plates and shit
I’ll drop my kit fast if I’m ever in uncontrolled water
Better shot that drowning In my opinion
If I’m shot I still got a chance
But yeah the steel plates are about a 4th the thickness of the Sapi plates so you get a much better range of motion.
I haven’t had a problem with the thickness. It’s mainly the cut to me
If I drop kit, go under and swim
It’s a safe bet
I have worn a full set of the SAPI and its like being the fucking marshmallow man.
some carriers have drop tabs for quick eject of plates
Idk maybe I’m just used to the thickness but I haven’t had a problem
@Recapdrake that’s like a standard now a days
@Recapdrake that is why I like the quick detach shoulders on carriers, though I know a lot of people hate it.
I don’t know who would hate it
@Itcilis I think they have slimmed down some of the new ones due to the hybrid formulas.
Maybe that’s what I got. I haven’t checked these plates in like weeks
Kept them in
I got them certified before I left and that was it
They have actually come to a reasonable price.
i like being mobile thats one reason why I picked the steel plates and really not much of a weight difference, and I have gotten use to it.
415 per plate ain’t bad when the bitch floats and weighs 4.6 for a 10x12
I was about to say 415 a plate damn
Then seen the floating and weight
Yeah but you are only getting IIIa protection. I can devistate that with my 9mm.
I don’t plan on swimming with plates in lol
