1 inch exactly

2020-01-20 05:31:42 UTC

granted triple curve

2020-01-20 05:31:50 UTC

I thought about getting swimmers for my personal plates

2020-01-20 05:31:56 UTC

I recomend them

2020-01-20 05:31:56 UTC

But haven’t messed with them before

2020-01-20 05:32:25 UTC

I’ve got large swimmer rear medium shooter cut front

2020-01-20 05:32:43 UTC

really improves range of movement, though you could probably still do SAPI for back plate as you aren't really needing much motion back there unless you actually are swimming

2020-01-20 05:33:12 UTC

I just want to shoulder my rifle better lol

2020-01-20 05:33:14 UTC

They are ok if u size up and use it as a rear but I feel like as a front plate staying same size u give up a lot of pelvic girdle and collar bone coverage

2020-01-20 05:33:20 UTC

Jesus swimming in body armor. That just sounds like a nightmare

2020-01-20 05:33:25 UTC

It is

2020-01-20 05:33:31 UTC

It fucking SUCKS

2020-01-20 05:33:46 UTC

I don't do water, espeically in full gear.

2020-01-20 05:33:52 UTC

I read somewhere that they make buoyant plates for team guys now

2020-01-20 05:33:55 UTC

does anyone have a link to that mcfreaking bouyant set of plates?

2020-01-20 05:34:06 UTC

Yeah the seals have like boyancy plates and shit

2020-01-20 05:34:14 UTC

I’ll drop my kit fast if I’m ever in uncontrolled water

2020-01-20 05:34:31 UTC

Better shot that drowning In my opinion

2020-01-20 05:34:51 UTC

If I’m shot I still got a chance

2020-01-20 05:35:03 UTC

But yeah the steel plates are about a 4th the thickness of the Sapi plates so you get a much better range of motion.

2020-01-20 05:35:28 UTC

I haven’t had a problem with the thickness. It’s mainly the cut to me

2020-01-20 05:35:30 UTC

Not to mention if you go underwater you have some protection from bullets.

2020-01-20 05:35:42 UTC

If I drop kit, go under and swim

2020-01-20 05:35:49 UTC

It’s a safe bet

2020-01-20 05:36:01 UTC

I have worn a full set of the SAPI and its like being the fucking marshmallow man.

2020-01-20 05:36:02 UTC

some carriers have drop tabs for quick eject of plates

2020-01-20 05:36:20 UTC

Idk maybe I’m just used to the thickness but I haven’t had a problem

2020-01-20 05:36:38 UTC

@Recapdrake that’s like a standard now a days

2020-01-20 05:36:40 UTC

@Recapdrake that is why I like the quick detach shoulders on carriers, though I know a lot of people hate it.

2020-01-20 05:36:54 UTC

I don’t know who would hate it

2020-01-20 05:37:05 UTC

@Itcilis I think they have slimmed down some of the new ones due to the hybrid formulas.

2020-01-20 05:37:24 UTC

Maybe that’s what I got. I haven’t checked these plates in like weeks

2020-01-20 05:37:31 UTC

Kept them in

2020-01-20 05:37:48 UTC

I got them certified before I left and that was it

2020-01-20 05:38:18 UTC

They have actually come to a reasonable price.

2020-01-20 05:38:43 UTC

i like being mobile thats one reason why I picked the steel plates and really not much of a weight difference, and I have gotten use to it.

2020-01-20 05:39:11 UTC

415 per plate ain’t bad when the bitch floats and weighs 4.6 for a 10x12

2020-01-20 05:39:33 UTC

I was about to say 415 a plate damn

2020-01-20 05:39:47 UTC

Then seen the floating and weight

2020-01-20 05:40:22 UTC

Yeah but you are only getting IIIa protection. I can devistate that with my 9mm.
