but nowadays industries don't play a big role, most people are working in service/finantial jobs I think

2018-11-13 23:51:55 UTC

they do

2018-11-13 23:52:14 UTC

and the means of production aren't that easy to take hold of as stopping the production line

2018-11-13 23:53:21 UTC

Did @Mr. X die of ligma?

2018-11-13 23:53:25 UTC

maybe

2018-11-13 23:53:41 UTC

he will surely resurrect

2018-11-13 23:54:49 UTC

@catholic without *workers*, who will do the *work*?

2018-11-13 23:56:06 UTC

It really isn't that complicated. The welfare of Capitalists is dependent upon the efforts of the worker, although they gain a disproportionately greater product from the collective effort of the workers

2018-11-13 23:56:38 UTC

but what would be the achievable version of this, as the way stopping immigration and deporting illegals is to an ethnostate

2018-11-13 23:57:07 UTC

that's true for big business, not so much small

2018-11-13 23:58:49 UTC

Are you talking about illegal workers?

2018-11-13 23:59:22 UTC

No, I'm talking about short term goals that would get to these ideals

2018-11-13 23:59:45 UTC

If you want to build an ethnostate, start by closing borders

2018-11-13 23:59:56 UTC

If you want to build a socialist state, start by

2018-11-14 00:00:23 UTC

Nazbol gang

2018-11-14 00:00:26 UTC

minimum wage?

2018-11-14 00:00:28 UTC

lol

2018-11-14 00:00:38 UTC

*living wage

2018-11-14 00:01:05 UTC

minimum wage is not enough to live off of for many people

2018-11-14 00:01:18 UTC

especially in popular towns and cities

2018-11-14 00:02:25 UTC

@catholic "The means of production belong to the whole of society. Every member of society, performing a certain part of the socially necessary work, receives a certificate from society to the effect that he has done a certain amount of work. And with this certificate he receives from the public store of consumer goods a corresponding quantity of products. After a deduction is made of the amount of labor which goes to the public fund, every worker, therefore, receives from society as much as he has given to it."
(Lenin, V. I. (1917), The State and the Revolution (p. 54), Marxists.org)

2018-11-14 00:02:58 UTC

yes

2018-11-14 00:03:37 UTC

Therefore, the harder you work, the more you are rewarded.
Under capitalism, the harder you work, the more your boss is rewarded

2018-11-14 00:06:56 UTC

How does that work for scientists or entrepeneurs? I mean there's a lot of ways capitalism builds and invents goods you can't quantify. Starting a business basically. I know wage slavery prevents 99% from actually building some capital themselves, wouldn't it be good to have a system that takes the burden off that and tries to use people's ambition to make society better

2018-11-14 00:07:59 UTC

The more they research and discover/the more they contribute to society, the more they are rewarded

2018-11-14 00:08:25 UTC

There is no incentive to work harder under capitalism

2018-11-14 00:08:53 UTC

Also, the argument of incentive under capitalism is extremely ironic

2018-11-14 00:10:03 UTC

yea

2018-11-14 00:10:13 UTC

yea

2018-11-14 00:10:25 UTC

Making enough money to build a business? I'm throwing big words to try to ask how would things get better without competition

2018-11-14 00:10:43 UTC

by things I mean technology

2018-11-14 00:10:49 UTC

Build a business?

2018-11-14 00:10:51 UTC

Where would you get that money

2018-11-14 00:10:57 UTC

There is no private business in socialism

2018-11-14 00:11:04 UTC

true

2018-11-14 00:11:17 UTC

I'm talking about incentives under capitalism

2018-11-14 00:11:43 UTC

what do you guys think about bolsonaro?

2018-11-14 00:12:01 UTC

The labourer is paid the minimum wage, ie, that wage in which to keep the worker in bare existence as a worker.

2018-11-14 00:12:04 UTC

You only earn as much as your boss feels you'd be satisfied with

2018-11-14 00:12:29 UTC

Any further, and they'd be doing so at the expense of their own profits
