Well, like I said I am not a Marxist. I'm more post-Marxist than anything.
I can say Marx had some great ideas, but there's things in there I don't agree with.
Even so, since the fall of the USSR and Yugoslavia, both places have been not doing so well.
"Nevertheless, in most advanced countries, the following will be pretty generally applicable.
1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the state, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to work. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture."
Marx
All the former Soviet States now have lower standards of living and higher mortality rates.
Plus, a lot of places now lost what they once had. After you told me that Belarus now doesn't have free college, I looked into all the former states and they all lost a lot of things.
Yeah.
A lot of places also lost free healthcare too.
Azerbaijan
Why would Iran have ussr flag
I fucking wish Iran became a Soviet State.
@TheTeacher do you support Isis or Assad
@Borzo @TheTeacher Its was a capitalistic system in the 70s
I support Assad's struggle against imperialism.
Nice
I do not want to be that leftist who keeps saying things are not "real socialism."
I disagree with Assad on a lot of things, but Syria should have self determinism.
Syria is the last multicultural country left in the Middle East
I heard that Rojava and Assad considered a pact to work together.
After a certain religion caused havoc
That would be incredible. They need it to oppose Turkey.
Aren't the Kurds Turkish?
And rojava supports the Kurds
Kurds are not Turkic. They are some other ethnic group entirely.
And Turkey hates the Kurds to no end.
They are an Iranian Ethnic group.
I used to be better at anthropology, I had to google that lol
But yeah, a stance against Turkey with an Assad/Rojava pact I feel would be best for both sides.
Both sides being Syria and Rojava, not Turkey. Fuck Turkey.
Greece should get constanipole
Would probably boost their economy due to tourism
Which they desperately need
At this point, I don't know if anything would really help Greece.
I agree it would boost their economy, but their problems are numerous and a lot would need to be done to help them.
Like, what should Greece do about their massive drug problem and their growing far-right movement?
Well, okay the second problem should be dealt with y those far-righters getting punched in the face.
Freedom in capitalist society always remains about the same as it was in ancient Greek republics: Freedom for slave owners.
