Sorry to shitpost in an otherwise very excellent conversation, but..

Race =/= nation. I have a racial heritage. But like most people, its connection is weak compared to my national heritage. The people of my nation are near to me. I can see them, speak with them, interact with them. I know their struggle. Our ancestors fought in the same battles, and trekked across the same mountains.

However, I have shared no similar experiences with Russians, or Italians, or Latvians. I cannot connect with them in nearly the same way that I can with my nation. Racial identity exists, but it is not the driving force behind what we do. Nationalism is confined to a nation. Thus "White Nationalism" is almost contradictory.
