Futuristic sci fi. Kinda Altered Carbony. This guy is trying to take out some people and stop a terrorist plot. His conscience is projected into these convicts that are then sent down to these planets. They receive their mission briefing while on the can in their cell. I can’t for the life of me remember the name of the book

Dunno how many here are into strategy, but this is an amazing book that looks at Soviet anti-guerilla tactics during the Afghan war

Highly reccomend if you can get your hands on it
