Your purpose is self defined. It's really as simple as defining a rubric of what a good man is.

I can say a good man isnt quick to emotional action

A good man doesnt hurt others unjustly

A good man doesnt steal

A good man is honest even if it will hurt him

A good man has conviction he is willing to die for

A good man will have the backs of the men around him

Edit: a good man wont burden the other men around him with unnecessary strife

A good man knows when to draw a line in the sand.

If you do anything today, look at yourself in the mirror and ask what makes you worthy of the title of a good man.

If theres short comings or nothing at all youd define as a good characteristic, you work on it immediately. Dont get emotional, look at stuff objectively. Make objectives and actually practice them.

But succumbing to emotions, you'll push good men away. You'll be the corpse on that cliff. We will cut the rope. Start climbing

Dude I got hit by a semi truck almost 4 years ago, got addicted to pain pills then heroin, buried 8 friends in 2 years and tried to OD multiple times. Then I stopped feeling sorry for myself and made a change after the gun that I was gonna off myself with failed to fire

You gotta man the fuck up and make a change by force sometime

I moved halfway across the country to live with my cousin and create a whole new life and a year and 1/2 later I’m happier and doing better than I ever thought I could

My advice? Man up, force yourself to walk in the sun

Go hiking, fishing, whatever it takes to get you out of your own head

Because if you don’t you will paint the wall with whatever is in your head

And that’s not cash money
