It's all a mindset thing tbh

2019-08-31 14:34:40 UTC

If you think like you're poor you stay poor. If you hang out with poor people you stay poor. If you work like you're poor you'll stay poor.

There's hardly any jobs here, I work as much as I can as a handyman at the neighbors ranch, predator hunter (coyotes, wolves, etc.) and also occasionally, I clean up people's land/property for whatever they pay me

"hang out with poor people" Lol I got no friends 🤣

Fucking cut everyone out that keeps you there and go find an auto shop to work in like 50 hours a week. You'll learn skills. Or find an electrician that needs an apprentice.

2019-08-31 14:35:43 UTC

Reorganize how you spend your time. Focus on learning skills that are specialized.

2019-08-31 14:36:05 UTC

Once you have those skills in 2-3 years you can basically write your own ticket

2019-08-31 14:36:13 UTC

@Bodark Actual
That's some solid advice

I actually like the autoshop thing, I'll ask around if any are hiring

2019-08-31 14:36:29 UTC

They all are looking for lube techs and gofers

2019-08-31 14:36:56 UTC

@насильственное убийство hey you have to kill 50% of the population to get rid of the 1% that's rich to not be poor

I can do that. I can do anything really. I actually enjoy working with my hands

2019-08-31 14:37:21 UTC

I'm in trade school full time for automotive tech
Going for those sweet sweet ASEs and full time at a shop
tough. Yes
Doable definitely

2019-08-31 14:37:34 UTC

I used to do like $18hr in an auto shop before I quit to run my music business

2019-08-31 14:37:52 UTC

You don't even need trade school it's just a plus at this point

2019-08-31 14:37:54 UTC

Personally though. Like they said, find a decent trade and you're set

2019-08-31 14:38:01 UTC

I started at 10 and want to be at 20 by next year

2019-08-31 14:38:22 UTC

I make $100/hr doing music now lol

2019-08-31 14:38:35 UTC

But the work isn't as consistent

2019-08-31 14:38:52 UTC

So some weeks I don't make anything, other weeks I make a couple grand

2019-08-31 14:38:58 UTC

Buddyyyyyyyy
Lol no

Nah man I genuinely believe I've found my calling here working on cars

2019-08-31 14:39:23 UTC

I like consistent schedules and pay

2019-08-31 14:39:36 UTC

I don't mind the inconsistency

2019-08-31 14:39:41 UTC

I know how to get work so

2019-08-31 14:39:50 UTC

It's not an issue as long as you plan for it

2019-08-31 14:39:55 UTC

Good stuff

2019-08-31 14:40:04 UTC

But yes the consistency of being on a shop was great

2019-08-31 14:40:13 UTC

I just got tired of cars hahaha

2019-08-31 14:40:43 UTC

It’s college gameday by God

2019-08-31 14:40:45 UTC

2019-08-31 14:40:59 UTC

2019-08-31 14:41:26 UTC
