While I agree that corporatism is bad as a whole, the way they treat employees is a symptom of Government mingling in my opinion. Mostly through having a Federal minimum wage and too bloated a welfare system. There was a time when working as a cashier was enough to support a family. And walmart is only jumping on the antigun band wagon because its popular right now, the same goes for everyone adopting the rainbow flag. If they think it'll raise profits, they'll do it
Dude... you do realize that the federal minimum wage is literally the bare minimum, right? Like you cannot live on $7.25 anywhere in the US. Not having it just means some companies would go back to paying their employees $3 an hour. Hell, waitresses actually usually only make about $3.25 an hour because they get tips. The issue is the fact that the cost of living has skyrocketed thanks to the boomerfags and the corporations did exactly what Adam Smith said not to do which was offshore their manufacturing to countries in order to maximize profit margins. Minimum wage has shit to do with it. This has to do with the fact that our economy is financialized thanks to the deregulation of banks starting in the 70s, the offshoring of manufacturing, the destruction of the middle class, and the raising of taxes on the majority of Americans while eradicating corporate taxes
*waiters and waitresses, it's all of em
Yes, you make good and valid points. All pieces of a now defunct machine. I was focusing on one issue rather than the entirety of it. I'm sure the you could agree though that a minimum wage won't fix the issue, wether its $7, $15, or $500. The real questions are what can be done to fix everything? Turning it off and back on again is sounding real good
I make above minimum wage and can barely afford to live.
Well, first off, we need to start by reinstating the marginalized corporate tax rate we HAD back in the 50s and 60s (despite the fact that every modern Republican will tell you that it's socialism). Those fuckers make obscene amounts of money. We're not talking millions, or even billions, we're talking tens of trillions of dollars being poured into the pockets of an extremely tiny percentage of the population thanks to lack of taxation of corporations. Next, we need to fucking find a way to jumpstart manufacturing in the US again. Your guess is as good as mine on how to do that because fucked if I know how, but it has to happen. Next, the minimum wage should go up. They've run numerous studies you can find on the internet that show that the minimum wage used to be proportional and positively correlating to the rise in cost of living but started to deviate severely in the 70s and went completely off the fucking rails in the 80s (thanks Reagan, you gun hating piece of shit). After that, break up the big banks. Fuck em. They destroyed this nation once already and millions of lives along with it in 08, so fuck em. Make em suffer. Forgive all student debt. No questions asked. Wipe the slate clean like Totenkopf wants to do with (((them)))
That isn't his point
*racks mp40 slide* We taking over banks now?
*That's a joke*
Hood rat shit
I hate banks to begin with
I think everyone does, they should've failed back in 08.
They should've burned
And while were breaking things up, lets go after the big tech companies
I mean, the federal reserve needs to fall first. Just sayin

Oh no
It spread
We could go back to a gold standard, that would suck short term but would mean for long term stability and a strong currency

Short Term < Long Term
Don worry about now, worry about down da road
Stop using paper money backed by nothing
So to actually fix the problem it'll take politics and a reset button
To be fair, they set that system up because of the fact that the banks started running out of money and closing down when everyone took their money out of the banks and the FDIC system does help ensure that people aren't fucked when a recession happens. I think there is a better way to go about it that will be easier on the people
Do you guys understand why companies pay such absurdly low corporate federal tax?
I just want a BTR
For reasons
Lol
Like armored trucks
And security
*raids armored car to give it back to the people*
@CatLoverKid because they bought and paid for Congress years ago through lobbyists, kickbacks, payoffs, and deregulation
My dude I want my medicinal Abrahams tank
