not memorized
What? I make close to 23 an hour to walk in circles and babysit
Federal level: $7.25/hour
You cannot live on that ANYWHERE in this stste
I have NO clue what cost of living is there
single bedroom apartment here is 3300 a month in some cases
HA! Yeah minimum wage isn't earning you NEARLY enough to afford that
Even in your state I guarantee
Right. Abolish minimum wage, let free markets do their thing. Prices go down
$15 min wage here
$15/hour still isn't enough
I have paid all my bills this period and I have $.03 in my account. I had to chose between keeping my car on the road or eating.
I'm literally living on instant potatos for the next 2 weeks and praying I don't run out.
Thats why I'll complete my course (even if the degree become worthless when I get to US) and try to learn another language
You'd have to work like 60+ a week, probably 80 to afford 3300 a month
@Foxhound oof, been there before
What do yall think?
3300 is also worst case. Lowest I've seen is 1600 without roommates
Any tips?
what degree are you going for Catfish?
Minimum wage here is 11.40 an hour and that isn't enough to afford an apartment, let alone anything extra to "Better yourself."
Minimum wage jobs aren’t supposed to be something you live off of
@Sir Harndes do it. Peiple will be impressed either way. Besides, drgrees are just paper
It’s to give you experience to get a better job
^ or to get a promotion
@The Leaf incorrect
K
@CatLoverKid technician on mechatronics
DEF go for it
seen people make entry 150k for that
And also, just to be clear, for all y'all who say abolish minimum wage? If you need proof that corporations and businesses would happily pay their workers $3.25/hour to maximize their profits if the minimum wage was ever dealt away with, I advise you to head down to your nearest diner, and ask a waitress or waiter how much they make per hour
It is supposed to be avlr to live off of, at a bere minimum level. Being a cashier used to allow you a house and family
^
Yo
And when companies liquidate you because it's cheaper to hire new people than to give raises to veterans? When internal power struggles kill your chances of promotions?
You know why inflation is a thing?
Because of the economic debt system
Because people sell they're shit for more than its worth
Revenue is based on debt
Another reason to abolish the FED
@AKAlexei no one would work thos ejobs if that was the case. The only reason tipping became popular in the US was because of the depression, as a way of owners to not pay employees as much out of pocket
