Oh also the warfare earns defense contractors trillions annually
And who pays the price? Poor people
With our money. With our health. With our lives
We defang both serpants, and feast on their meat so to say
^
They don’t care about flesh and blood individuals
The State's only ""job"" should be as an officiator/witness to the free choices of the governing populace
With our very souls
It’s not their own lives at risk
(*imo*)
But you can keep shifting blame again by saying that the only reason that corps have the power to start wars is because the gov't has a military. Among SO SO many other blame shifts. This is just gonna keep continuing lol
@AKAlexei ok, we just seem to be coming from different sides of the same issue. And I do get where you're coming from
Wrong. The states duty is to prepare itself and the economy for collapse and to prevent it for the good of it's people.
Like agreed - but
Absolute power absolutely corrupts
y e s s s
so why don't we balance the power
Our republic tried
Tree of liberty and all that
if balance were everyone's self interest. . . ***cough*** FreeMarketLaissezFaireBlahBlah ***coughcoughcoughLUNGcough***
The state's duty is to represent the people on our behalf, make laws where necessary, collect taxes where necessary, and uphold those laws through legal services. It also has an oath to promote the general welfare, which many can and do argue is a simple way of saying it has the right to keep people from ending up broke, homeless, destitute, and with no way out other than a bullet
The republic failed.
The state does have some responsibility to help during a recession or collapse, I suppose. It’s an organizing, unifying force (so long as it is kept small or decentralized, neither of which our government is)
The republic was manipulated
omg look it begins again
see we're right back at square one!
and we're gonna STAY at square one because both corps and gov't have too much power over each other
so there's no clear way to blame anyone here
The republic failed from the very beginning.
"I tried to give you a democracy, but they chose a republic and they can keep it!"
Corporations control governments. Sorry.
Corprotism is the evil, not necessarily corporations or capatalism. In the same stroke that government corruption and tyranny is evil, not necessarily the govt
governments control corporations, sorry
fug republics constitutional monarchy is best
Bullshit
okay
It's almost like. . . if people have an avenue to control other people. . .
Governments control corporations? Really? That's the hill you want to fight for?
do you make more than minimum wage?
yes?????
