Electoral college will be abolished by 2030 at the latest

2019-12-19 20:19:17 UTC

I'd say 2030-2040 is when we see full on acceleration decline start to happen

2019-12-19 20:41:29 UTC

I saw a tweet yesterday that says the person wants to get rid of the ELECTRICAL COLLEGE

2019-12-19 20:43:01 UTC

Damn those electrical engineers ruining democracy

2019-12-19 20:43:31 UTC

Mike Pence must have studied there

2019-12-19 20:44:59 UTC

oh my goodness thats retarded

2019-12-19 20:48:36 UTC

Mike Pence is Raiden

2019-12-19 20:49:37 UTC

God I hope we don't lose the collage, but I imagine Dems will be gunning for it from now on

2019-12-19 20:50:29 UTC

that plus bringing in more immigrants is their best chance of winning elections after this

2019-12-19 20:51:07 UTC

I mean it's just the cities, even in lefty states, going blue

2019-12-19 20:51:37 UTC

I doubt they'll manage it before Trump gets another term in

2019-12-19 21:04:19 UTC

they are certainly going to try

2019-12-19 21:04:31 UTC

see NY's recent act of giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants

2019-12-19 21:19:28 UTC

This is a literal soft coup

2019-12-19 21:19:32 UTC

By definition

2019-12-19 21:19:45 UTC

So they really want Pence as President? Bullshit lmao

2019-12-19 21:19:45 UTC

<:angrypepe:497157904743268363>

2019-12-19 21:25:43 UTC

If anything Pence would be worse for the Democrats .

2019-12-19 21:27:18 UTC

Since he is far more socially conservative and more controlled in what he says,so the left would have a harder time going against him

2019-12-19 21:28:13 UTC

Well, yes they want Pence to be president. If Trump was removed, then under the Presidential Succession Act, Pence becomes president instantly, automatically, with no vote required **AND** the vice presidency becomes vacant.

2019-12-19 21:28:28 UTC

However, to fill the vice presidency a vote is required to confirm.

2019-12-19 21:28:49 UTC

The House has to confirm a nominee by simple majority.

2019-12-19 21:28:57 UTC

BUT

2019-12-19 21:29:02 UTC

they don't have to.

2019-12-19 21:29:18 UTC

For example, when Nixon resigned, they didn't confirm Ford's VP for months.

2019-12-19 21:29:25 UTC

They left the VP slot vacant.

2019-12-19 21:30:14 UTC

Now, if Trump were removed and Pence were to have an *unfortunate accident* while the VP slot was left vacant, then Nancy Pelosi becomes president via the Presidential Succession Act, instantly, automatically, no vote required.

2019-12-19 21:32:13 UTC

So if Trump is removed, Pence is automatically president. Then Pence """dies""", and Pelosi is automatically president.

2019-12-19 21:32:51 UTC

lel theres no way the senate will convict trump. this hypothetical is fun but the odds that the senate vote to impeach trump are very very low

2019-12-19 21:33:19 UTC

20 republicans would have to side with dems for it to happen, and they could possibly get.. like 3 of the rhinos but.. thats really about it

2019-12-19 21:33:22 UTC

You are correct, unless there is some weird non-obvious scheme they have

2019-12-19 21:33:55 UTC

I don't know what that might be, but there is nothing, no act no matter how evil or underhanded, that the democrats will not stoop to.

2019-12-19 21:33:57 UTC

this is why pelosi is stalling now, not sending the articles to the senate

2019-12-19 21:34:03 UTC

because she knows its going to get shot down

2019-12-19 21:36:01 UTC

If I were McConnell I wouldn't wait for the House to submit the articles to the Senate. I'd start the acquittal process now.

2019-12-19 21:36:24 UTC

no i would drag it out until Nov

2019-12-19 21:36:43 UTC

make it that much more bad for the dems
