Mmmm no safety
The good thing is if you get fucked in the job you got a lawsuit in your hands
Just make sure you're recording
on the one hand, no one pays attention to safety except you in my type of situation
For uhh, austerity purposes
on the other hand you're safer because you know that and you pay special attention to your own safety lol
These shingle lift ladders cost about $2,000
@Torvarren why not just
Worker goes up ladder
Manual pulley at the top
Bucket to put shingles in at the bottom
You see
Put shingles in bucket
Lift bucket with pullet
That's what a sane person would do
Pulley
Shit carying shingles isn't even the dangerous part of the job. It's falling off the roof that fucks people up. Using foot boards does more than that silly thing.
You gotta think outside the box if you want to please overlord Osha
They do it to try and eliminate some liability, but end up creating completely new ones.
Because I can see the danger of going up a ladder while carrying shit on your shoulder. I can barely keep my balance on a ladder with fully free hands
it takes practice but once you understand it well it's not so scary
I've done it a lot
But putting a gas motor in a ladder just creates whole new risks of getting your hands shredded, skinned, cut, or otherwise maimed
cats musical fans got the movie they fucking deserved
Put the shingles in a pack?
Put pack on back.
Climb ladder.
Really just
Put shingles in bucket
I mean if you are a roofing contractor (not that I advise it probably the worst trade) there are these scisor-lift style things that can raise a pallet for you. Or if you are a pro just get the delivery guys with a truck lift to put the whole material budget *on the damn roof*.
Lift bucket from top
Done
Stop trying to be practical
5 dollar manual crane
That's not allowed here
Or at Osha
How about learning how to throw shingles accurately with a proper arc that they land softly enough?
