@Al Capwned, the above is written text not spoken word. It's an editorial/opinion regarding a subject to be read or discarded by anyone who sees it.

2019-12-29 09:36:42 UTC

It's not an 'argument'.

2019-12-29 09:37:18 UTC

Arguments require moving one's lips.....

2019-12-29 09:43:38 UTC

Can your phone explode if it's near a small heater?

2019-12-29 09:47:02 UTC

yes

2019-12-29 09:47:32 UTC
2019-12-29 09:47:57 UTC

Allow the Slavs to demonstrate...

2019-12-29 09:48:36 UTC

If the phone is in a travel bag will it explode near a heater?

2019-12-29 09:48:50 UTC

Not beside it

2019-12-29 09:49:01 UTC

depends on a few things

2019-12-29 09:49:05 UTC

But half a yard away

2019-12-29 09:49:20 UTC

Heater is also small

2019-12-29 09:49:20 UTC

if a relatively normal battery, safe under 60C

2019-12-29 09:50:13 UTC

but failure can happen and will happen in the entire system which can lessen that threshold

2019-12-29 09:51:09 UTC

I assume that is the battery malfunctioning

2019-12-29 09:51:14 UTC

But not exploding

2019-12-29 09:52:04 UTC

Well no explosion then

2019-12-29 09:52:47 UTC

The bullshit people tell me is astounding

2019-12-29 09:53:32 UTC

"If you charging while using your phone with standard charger it will explode"

2019-12-29 09:53:53 UTC

overcharging is worse than over-temp

2019-12-29 09:54:11 UTC

"If you sit near the heater your clothes will be on fire"

2019-12-29 09:54:13 UTC

but i wouldn't worry too much about exploding

2019-12-29 09:54:44 UTC

Tons of websites said it's only knockoff charger that explode

2019-12-29 09:54:54 UTC

Not standard or even cheapo brands

2019-12-29 09:55:04 UTC

although, i would make sure you put your phone in a state that doesn't constantly look for a signal, like airplane mode if charging

2019-12-29 09:55:55 UTC

it can really heat up the phone in the event you go through a dead zone and the system has to work overtime

2019-12-29 09:56:47 UTC

So turn on airplane mode when charging

2019-12-29 09:56:55 UTC

well, just make sure the output voltage & current limit of the charger matches what the phone requires

2019-12-29 09:57:36 UTC

some cheap chargers don't have a current limiting circuit so they continue to draw current even if the battery starts to overcharge
