if the federal government didnt have the power to enforce one states shitty ideology on another
@Lucienne d'Anwyl we might as well go back to pre civil war era then.
then it wouldnt matter if one state had too much power
And its a good thing we don't trust them, look at the USA
but because the feds do have that power
The Federal Government should crush state rights
Lol
one state having too much power sucks sucks suckls
@Tubby the Skelly Bones Democrat voters.
andrew here is being a jew
a jewish kjew
who hates christianity and freedom
Yes
and wants to crush everything youve ever held dear
Yes
he should quite honestly hurl himself off a roof
It's like reading the color of a crayon; reddish-orange is orange with some red in it. A democratic republic is a republic with some democratic qualities. Whatever comes first is an add on
Direct democracy is like asking a bunch of 5 year old what they want for dinner.
They’re going to choose candy for every meal, rot their teeth and become fat.
Andrew don’t like dictatorship but he sure as well wouldn’t mind being in charge of said dictatorship lol
Exactly Scale
i don't even know why people make the tyranny of majority argument for the ec, that's not even the reason why it behaves in the way it does, the purpose - at least in that regard - is to represent each state as a semi-independent entity within the union
hello children
I agree with direct democracy for big constitutional changes, but day to day representational is fine
I'm not much of a leader
democracy only semi works with heavily decentralized government
Especially regional representation
but that doesnt tend to happen
And I despise dictatorships
i can't understand why someone would think population density should affect the weight of votes
@Oskar the Grouch BYOOOOOGAH
@Storin no
Funny how minority rule has caused the vast majority of problems in the world but let's ignore that fact.
direct democracy is anti regional
so big constitutional changes cant be direct democracy
@Death in June States rights went out the window a century ago.
the current system where its based on individual states is fine
But I'm pretty on board with the Federal Government enforcing certain freedoms for all citizens in all states
no reason to ruin that
I meant the UK
Like BRexit going to the people was the right decision imo
