I would say that, in G-rank and high GQ, the smaller monsters are the hardest
which is the defining problem in a lot MH games
animations/hitboxes for both the hunter and monsters are not properly fluid

At least mega evolution had effort behind it, with the mega evolutions having (for the most part) genuinely cool designs, stat changes, and sometimes type changes
