just be thankful you dont have to deal with german
german is a clusterfuck
i do have to deal with german
It's hard but if you want to read good research papers you just need to
and it's not that bad actually
> It's hard but if you want to read good research papers you just need to
yeah precisely
well, add two syllables to hiragana and katakana gets almost to 100% redundant, and my brain really doesn't like taking the scenic route for processing
also katakana contains the whole top 10 of linguistic abominations i've seen
ok weeb
you say weeb like it was a bad thing
it's annoying how interest in a language gets conflated with a lot of cultural things, like e.g. my buddy went on a japanese course and it was all anime watching girls, one liked to tear faces off of dolls
i went to study spanish and again, it was all spanish soap opera watching girls
talked about wanting to study korean a bit and got swarmed with kpop
it's exhausting
these sound like really shit studies tbh
i love me my anime but i know even if you watching anime for the language, you gonna get a VERY limited sample, even with anime being a medium (not a genre) with lotsa variety
i think you misunderstood
all the other attendants were either there because of anime in case of japanese or soap operas in case of spanish
oh that
yeah these people generally don't last long at studying a language
why are more memes posted in <#633966934622208031> then here
goddamnit
tbh I wanna learn new languages
I tried to learn dutch and swedish but I never fully comitted to it mostly cause it takes more time than I have
because clearly this channel is meant for debating
i only decided to study japanese after i visited japan. i've also been in at least 4 different states in the US, and having seen japan firsthand i garuntee "1st world of the 1st world" is no exaggeration
i had never seen SO much space so clean and orderly
they are actually robots
weeb
why do you all have the same damn christmas anime girl profile pic
it's padoru season
padoru
dis is the music of the kings and queens, tunes for ya weddings and ya sweet sixteens, baby christening and even anniversaries, prisoners are listening in penitentiaries, you want see the rastaman smoke them trees, light up the chalice and drink the herbal teas, beg the selector say pull it up please, let him know the tune it sting like bees
Too much order = too high expectations = not wanting to be like 'exhausted dad' = not starting a family
smells of weebish degeneracy
