In the later episodes of clone wars you had lots of dark themes and scenes that made you go "oh fuck"
right
I got that vibe in Rebels too
it's not gay to suck on a __feminine__penis r-right???
Rebels doesn't get that until Thrawn shows up, and the empire is no longer a laughing stock
especially w/ the Force/Sith stuff
that makes me happy that Thrawn is getting some appearances
Those were great novels
IDK, like I said, the Force stuff, when they go to the planet that was the ancient Force-user battlefield & ||Maul shows up to be the Dark Mentor archetype to Ezra, Kanan gets blinded, & Ahsoka stays to fight Vader||
Ye that shit was good
@ryvergate Onderon?
||At some point Ahsoka has to get murdered, otherwise Luke can no longer be "the last"||
@dizzy Thrawn, Ezra, and the entire crew of an Imperial-Class Star Destroyer are just vibing in the Unknown Regions as of the Battle of Ender <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
which is pretty funny NGL
Yeah the Chimera is a fucking awesome ship
It has a refinery on board to build Tie Fighters independently if I am not mistaken.
@ArmouredHeart Last Survivor's Law: Anytime someone is "The Last of their Kind" (Species, Race, Monastic Space Wizard Order, etc), there will always be an indefinite number more waiting in the wings, right off camera, because a) sexytime! b) same old character gets boring & c) gotta sell them spinoffs/merch
Rebels was class
Specters, report in!
they literally could have just done book adaptations of the Thrawn series
and they'd have been HEROES
they did
I have an illustated version of the first Thrawn book that could easily be a screenplay.
@SPOOKY Phil, Ruler of Heck Maybe it was Onderon
There are like a half-dozen Thrawn novels
I haven't a clue
it was so long ago
@ArmouredHeart I mean, it wasn't a full-fledged *war* like the Clone Wars, it was the *formative years* of the Rebellion - lots of hit-&-run guerilla strikes, intel-gathering, scrounging material (like those old Y-wings that were being scrapped). It's right at the very **end** that we see them ||on Yavin IV, and the whole Rebellion finally coming together||
@SPOOKY Phil, Ruler of Heck No, I mean book to movie
They didn't do that
they instead gave us cancer and killed the franchise lol
Minus Rogue One. That one can stay.
Completely unnecessary film, but was well done
agreeed eirshy I was so hoping to see the eu novels worked into movies
@Eirshy Star wars teaches men to be heroic. Gotta smash it
But instead they just thanos snapped the EU
